They've been working with Activision since April 2010.
It seems that A small team (including Jason Jones) has been working on Destiny since Halo 2.

The whole reservation thing is weird. Don't they normally have the consoles on the reservation card? Do you reserve the game then specify a console at a later date?
Think prototype to final design. Imagine it's larger and denser than ODST ever dreamed of given the scope of the team and the relative development times of both games. Not to mention the lessons learned and redeployed following ODST.
I'd trash so many newsagents.

How close is this game to release? I always thought it was a year or two away.
Makes me wonder what some posters where talking about in regards to this reveal having a negative impact upon the PS4 reveal a few days later in that it would favour Xbox.
Is it likely we will see Destiny in some guise (logo, repeated video) at the Sony conference?
Wasn't the first game supposed to establish the universe and the second is the MMO?
Could also have been non-final materials given to the press during the visit the past couple days. More promo materials for them than aimed at retail.
I think the leaked documents said they were targeting fall of 2013.

The suggestion was more that the next-gen version would be exclusive to Microsoft for a year, which certainly would help MS, I don't know if it would actively hinder Sony though.
Best Buy cards (which looks the ones in the pictures are), have the platforms/UPCs on the back.

It should be a loot game like Borderlands too, they'd practically be building money machines.

I think you've go it reversed, Activision and Bungie have to agree on pricing, but Activision has the tie breaking vote in a condition of gridlock.
