I hope they have some ideas in terms of gameplay that they did not show yet. Looked so painfully generic/current-gen as far as gameplay goes.

Visually... City looks better than some movie CGI. Can't wait for devs to make games targeting this HW.

I loved this video gameplay. It awesome that it has colors and it occurs during the day time in the city. Flesh out the world GG!

Anyways, why is the helgahst dude wearing a mask still? Why not take it off? I think in KZ2 they said something about wearing it for pride? And is a wall really separating the Higgs and Vektans? Cant the higgs just fly over and do terrorist attacks on nearby cities...LOL.

That's exactly why. Pride and respect for where they come from and their history on Helghan.

1. Put the Killzone 4 disc in a blender
2. Put contents of blender into a syringe
3. Inject into my veins
4. ???
5. Profit!

No seriously, as a Killzone fan, that blew my socks off. It was jsut drop dead gorgeous. I just hope the MP is like Killzone 2 than Killzone 3.

When are they going to upload the better quality version of the demo? In fact, didnt they promise to do it for all demos shown?

Eh...... I wish they'd funnel the money from something like this into more interesting projects. I was kind of at least holding out some hope that they would change the genre or gameplay up with it looking and named different then the gun came out and then the sluggish, plodding, terrible looking Killzone FPS gameplay started.

so no one is with me that the art direction and animations are worse than previous KZ games??? don't get me wrong that as a showcase for PS4 power it looks amazing but just not KZ to me ... anyway maybe its just me :/

Oh and are those really high res screens bullshots? What about the textures? Like those 2 things look fucking out of this world for a console. I couldnt tell bc the GT stream was shitty but if it looks like that then damn...8GB ram redeemed lol.

Dude, people enjoy the IP. Thats like the Mario BS. "Why not stop making marios? I hate it when you guys have fun!!!!"

This is Sony's FPS franchise. Not only that but GG trully take advantage of the hardware and it helps Sony make a point. Gameplay was ok but I think I'd rather play the game then say it looks terrible. (as always this is the case)

The Crytek/Guerilla pissing contest going on here is pretty funny, considering both make exceptionally crazy gorgeous looking games that are bland as fuck to play.

It was the cityscape that really took my breath away. Apart from that, it didn't do much for me.

Not GG's fault, I just think i'm all FPS'ed out

Blew me away. That draw distance, lighting shadows, reflections, depth of field, geometry, particle effects, smoke and post processing. Crysis 3 what? That city fly over was the most impressive visuals I've seen in a game yet. I get the feeling that if that city flyover was done using the new Cryengine, it'd run at 2fps lol.

Texturing: Crysis 3 is better.
Skin shaders: Crysis is better.
Particle effects: Crysis 3 is better.
Resolution: Crysis 3 PC is better.

Killzone: Shadow Falls in no way matches or surpasses Crysis 3 PC.

So scale in no way enters your mindset as something impressive?

Incredible reveal, and thank God in game.

That's a little harsh KZ2 had its moments and Crysis 1 had a decent scale

Absolutely loving the world, fully recognized, FF-esque and looks fantastic.

Nowhere near the visceral atmosphere of K2, and I do hope that they dont abandon the challenge found in that game. Demo was on easy mode, and the player was so crap at aiming and killing. A little too hollywood too, but I have hopes for Killzone 4.

There seemed to be an emphasis on story, so I'm excited. I just hope the game isn't too bro-shooter like K3 felt

From the screenshots (and not the low res gifs that hide the flaws), I would say this is around the level of Crysis 3 PC.

KZ2 was a pretty spectacular shooter, single- and multiplayer. This looks like it's heading further off on the Killzone 3 track, so meh, but still, saying Guerrilla is just graphics is unfair.

Saying Crysis is just graphics is pretty unfair too. The Nanosuit opens up so much freedom.

And Crytek can suck a dick. Nothing on consoles will match Crysis 3 on PCs? lol

The gameplay didn't look particularly exciting but the cityscape was immense and it was pleasing to see Killzone injected with a bit of colour for a change!

Everything was impressive except the contact shadows, it was clearly a basic SSAO implementation a large halo around your character's gun and hands when he's up close to a wall even when the area is brightly lit. You'd think with all that tech in there they'd atleast push for HBAO.

It was immense - really lovely color palette and art direction too. The only thing that wasn't really improved upon visually are the animations, but it's still really early.

I love how some of you complain about the gameplay. Did you expect Little Big Planet in a FPS/Killzone game? What about Driveclub, was that shitty typical generic driving game gameplay...?
