(US) PSN just sent me $10 US PSN credit in my inbox

At this point I'm just hoping that maybe since they sent out $5 a few days ago, and $10 today, that maybe they'll send out $15 to the really loyal customers? That's all I can think of, and it's probably not gonna happen. =/
 
Do you have siblings? If so, are you the eldest, youngest, or in between? What's your blood type? Do you cheat on your taxes?

Yes. I'm the youngest. I'm O+. No. I do have an Xbox Live account, so that might make me a disloyal bastard.

All seriousness aside, it's funny how some people are saying they are writing off Sony for good over this. The 10 bucks would have been nice, and it is sort of odd to suggest that a large portion of your fans are disloyal, but to announce a boycott over this is a tad bit completely insane isn't it?
 
I think Sony's move should be repeated in this industry s standard fare. I'm serious. Gonna announce a new system? Offer a freebie to owners of the old system so they dont feel as bad. This is brilliant PR.

Nothing. Owner since launch of two consoles because the first died. :( Sony, when you do something like this it might be a good idea to tell people why.

that' said, tempted to wait to see what happens to the PSN award thing happening in 4-5 days. Games that win go on sale.
 
Been a plus member for almost 2 years, 1 year still left on my sub.
Bought (non-free) 44 PSN games.

No $10. :(

Not like any of these PSN games will transfer to PS4 anyway, so I already not in a happy mood.
 
I got one, my girlfriend didn't (same PS3, different accounts). I buy and play more games than her, but some of you that didn't get one probably have bought more than me, so I doubt it has anything to do with that. Maybe it's just totally random?
 
Wait so has anyone figured out the criteria for receiving these $10???

I am irate as I have not gotten mine.

These $10 are OWED TO ME. I SHOULD OWN THESE.
 
I really wish they'd worded the message differently. "For being a loyal customer"? Fuck, I've been loyal as hell. The PS3 has been my main gaming system for over three years now (and my only non-handheld console since my Wii died). 2,300+ trophies, been a PS+ subscriber for two years, bought tons of stuff on PSN...I'm the definition of a "loyal" customer.

Now, I'm not trying to say that I deserve the $10 credit. I'm just saying that I wish they'd used different wording. As it stands now, it just kinda feels like a bit of a slap in the face. If they'd have just said "You've been chosen at random to receive a $10 PSN credit", then I'd have been totally cool with that.
 
If I don't get the $10 after singlehandedly keeping Vita afloat, I will knock heads.

Well, looking at it another way, Vita owners got 6 free PS Mobile games. So that was like getting a free $10.

And then spending it immediately on crappy games, but still...
 
Thread is too long to read through, but might this have something to do with gamesharing, which was popular a few years back?

Maybe if sony detected multiple same-region accounts/dummy accounts that were used to play a shared game across 5 ps3s, they just skipped you over rather than figuring out which accounts were legitimate/give you multiple $10 credits.

I didn't get the credit and gameshared, btw.

None of my accounts have ever been active on more than just my one PS3.
 
Tonight, I powered my PS3 thinking I will get nothing...

But to my surprise, I received it!

I did actually get one last night when I checked, so that's pretty awesome. No decent sales this week but I'm sure there will be something I'm interested in before 3/5.
 
There better be some compensation for the European customers, if we're not getting our 10€. I'm tired of being treated as a 2nd class customer when it comes to promotions, release dates and services.
