Yeah, people are acting like they couldn't have some separate Vita showing after the PS4 reveal.
Oh wait, any Vita news will take away from the PS4 hype. Of fucking course we should wait until E3 for more news on it.
But what if I like my Vita and want to play Destiny in bed or around the house?
It's like people aren't allowed to enjoy a struggling system.
Or TGS, got to wait for TGS.
I'm not going to pretend like they've handled it very well, and unless they pick up their shit then it could be in some serious trouble by the end of the year. Though I doubt this, it's certainly possible. At this point, I got my Vita for a great deal, have a ton of great games, am looking forward to Soul Sacrifice/Killzone Vita/Tearaway, and absolutely cannot wait to take full PS4 games with me around the house.I think it is more about a lot of people being straight up disappointed with how Sony has handled the Vita. I own one, I am not feeling very good about the console's future. I want Sony to put some support behind it and not give up on it and all of the people that dropped $250 plus however much for an overpriced memory card.
Far too early to make such comments, yesterday was a ps4 event. They called it playstation event not because they were going to talk about the vita but because they couldn't call it ps4 event given that was exactly what they wanted to reveal and 'surprise'. If there's nothing at E3. Different story. But to make conclusions based solely on yesterday's showing is misguided.
Sony, why you no price cut for the west...![]()
Source?
?? where did you get that idea..?
It should work over a network, they just used the kids thing as an example.
Could also be at Gamescom. There was a bunch of Vita stuff at Gamescom last year.
I think this is something for E3, and I agree with the general sentiment that we have to wait for E3 to really evaluate if Sony have dumped the vita as nothing more than a PS4 peripheral in the long run. The DS didn't exactly have a stunning lineup in that first year and more than made up for it during its lifecycle, same as the PSP.
Indeed you were. Find me a single official source that refers to the 18th event as 'Vita Heaven'. It was an announcement of a price-cut, some new bundles and then they showed the games that are due to be released imminently in the region they're selling the new bundles in. It wasn't Vita Heaven.
Probably, only time will tell. I suspect that the general perception of the Vita will still be overwhelmingly negative after E3, regardless of what they show.
Exclusive as in it has a ton of exclusive content. Why are you responding to me like I wasn't aware the D3 wasn't on PS3, I just said it had all the content + DLC for free?
You shouldn't own a platform for the sake of a game being exclusive, exclusives not made by Nintendo are rarely system sellers. You buy a game because it's fun and you feel that platfom is best suited to your gaming needs.

Oh, but it will be.From the Playstation conference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiNGZMx2vhY&list=PLol_ykYs3OQ65y4avMdbMk_k96z3lMt6W&index=1

"So to make remote play between the PS4 and PS Vita feel good, we've dramatically reduced transmission times so the gameplay is snappy and immediate. We've accomplished this by integrating some of the GaiKai technology into the PS4 system architecture that essentially turns it into a game server and the PS Vita becomes a client with remarkably fast connection speeds."
Also of note @ 37:01
"Our long term goal is to make every Playstation 4 title playable on PS Vita."
Don't like the sounds of "long term goal". Doesn't exactly sound like something that's mandatory for developers to include from day 1.
Its like people are not allowed to discuss poor sales of a system without defense forces being deployed.
Plus a memory card, the sftare, and waste of investment in tme and patience with that thing. Its not all about the money, its the trust you put into the company that sold you on the device.
