Well now you've gone and given folks ideas... then again I wouldn't put it past anyone posting end-game pics of a game that's like 48hours old or something
I figured what with 8 pages of Crysis 3, a buffer would be nice.
I just quoted two as to not take up too much space, since the posts are already there.

That's how this thread makes me feel every time a AAA game is released.
Eh 95% of the time it doesn't feel that way because playing games is a fun experience. Crysis 2 (and from the looks of it 3) are just walking simulators to look at the pretty.
Bit unfair to judge anything based off this thread, as people in here could suck the fun out of anything.
You know, I'm really terrible at fighting games, and even after I buy them I barely ever play them or improve, but I'm just so totally interested. I would love MvC3 on PC because it just seems like such an awesome game.
Like, all of the ideas are so great, but I just can't get a solid grasp on the actual concepts of playing. I am getting a bit better though.
On the plus side, the vast majority of screenshots from any of those AAA games is generally from just the first hour or so. DMC's a pretty good example.. tons and tons of screenshots, and then I watched a playthrough of the opening tutorial segment on YT, and that half-hour was the source of 90% of the DMC screenshots that I saw. I guess the "wow" factor wears off after a while and people stop taking screenshots.

Yep. There are a few games that I've bought because of this thread. Hitman Absolution, Dishonored, Project Cars. A few others too, i think.

You know how each fancy new game gets tons of screenshots right after it's released? I think Crysis 3 is the first such game in a long time where I don't even mind. I enjoy looking at them. Well, except for the occasional EatChildren screenshot with chromatic aberration enabled. *shakes fist*

Yknow alo, I felt and mostly feel very similar about fighting games. Their generally not my bag. But it was mvc3 that was completely different. I've played it almost more than any other game, because it's fucking addicting as shit, and very accessible. And learning new stuff all the time is always rewarding. Unfortunately it seems it will never be on PC.

heh that's just in response to Sax Russel's post about ludicrous beams in Freespace 2. That shot is so ridiculous tho and the mission is basically just a benchmark mission to see how may ships you can get into one battle in the freespace 2 engine.

i put actual effort into it and i couldn't make the image look as bad
also, it's a conspiracy. The writer works for sony and doesn't want people to know the beauty of Project Cars.

a few people took that shot, its quite stunning. concept art pretty much
saw these cars and was reminded of the last of us, crysis 3 is like playable art from that game
