Yeah, she's great when she's not doing the exaggerated sigh and shit. =P
Even though I have never completed the first one
I'm wanting to get this on PC and would be running it on my iMac via Bootcamp. How do these specs hold up?
Been watching some footage the past couple of days and have started to warm up to this game again. It's really got me curious and I am thinking that it may be one of the rare cases where a game comes out of development hell for the better. I may pre-order it on PSN.
Anyone know when the Amazon $30 2K games credits bonus deal ends? Still kinda torn where to order this from.
via Amazon:
Pre-order and get $30 worth of 2K Games credit upon release March 26, plus "BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt" for Kindle and the "Industrial Revolution Pack" free
Customers who pre-order BioShock Infinite will receive a $30 credit to use on 2K game downloads (excluding BioShock Infinite, BioShock Infinite Season Pass, and games available for pre-order). The $30 credit will be delivered upon release of the game on March 26, 2013. Limit one per customer. Credit must be used by March 26, 2014 limit one per customer. Additionally, pre-order customers will also receive a credit good to redeem a free copy of "BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt" for Kindle. An e-mail detailing how to redeem your free Kindle book will be e-mailed within two days after placing your pre-order. Pre-order customers will also receive the "Industrial Revolution Pack", which includes three gear items, 500 bonus in-game currency, five lock picks as well as the Industrial Revolution puzzle game. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. Offers apply to all existing pre-orders.
That's not what I was asking...Is this deal available up until release or will they stop offering it soon?
Available up until the 26th
And you asked when it ended, which is why I highlghted that the credit must be used within a year. Like the bonus goodie credit shit ends within a year.
Incommminnnnnggggg....
I'm hoping
2. No bullet sponge enemies. If you didn't have Anti-personnel ammo in BioShock, you had to use the wrench. Bullets, explosives, sustained flamethrower, barely anything. Pull out your wrench, have some good perks on, and you're the terror of the ocean.
hm wonder when we're going to see the finalized alternate cover that we voted for.

Levine confirmed them on Twitter at the very leastThis is probably very random but i want to see a damn vending machine.
This is probably very random but i want to see a damn vending machine.
Wasn't it the middle one that won?
the graphic settings for bioshock 1 on pc, really illustrate how far pc gaming has come in the last five years....
Vendors are definitely in, and since vending machines were invented in the late 1800's it's quite possible we may see an early form of the Circus of Values.
I find it astonishing that I still hear the sound clip in my head every time I read "Circus of Values".
I always hear that damn clown laugh.
It was weird when Levine did the "Circus of Values" and (if I remember correctly) the laugh on one of Major Nelson's podcasts.

Hopefully Schyman's soundtrack for Infinite is closer to his work on Bioshock 2 than the original. If Bioshock 2 had one thing over the first game it was the soundtrack.
Oh god did he sound just like the machine? I gotta see if I can find that.
I think it's the one the week they released the demo for Bioshock on Live. August 2007...![]()
So what exactly is Elizabeth's role in the story? Love interest? Morality pet?
None of us really know for sure. Have you watched the second Modern Day Icarus docu teaser? They kind of hint at her being extremely important and crucial to Columbia. Hence, why she is constantly protected/trapped by the Songbird.
Ah, so she's a MacGuffin Girl. Interesting.
I'll be pleased as long as she isn't a shallow love interest. Ideally not a love interest at all.
The theme surrounding Elizabeth that I'm most looking forward to seeing explored is her Stockholm Syndrome towards the Songbird (don't worry, this is hardly spoiler material). She desires to escape from it desperately, but apparently if you try and harm the Songbird, it'll influence your relationship with her negatively.
Quite an interesting predicament for the player to be in.
All the parts where you're just walking in Columbia and exploring the world look great. The combat we've seen so far though looks rough. Hopefully it lives up to its huge potential.
I suggest you check out that link, fast forward to the combat scene and tell us what you think looks "rough" to you.
I watched the video recently. I believe the combat part was pretty much the same as the VGA reveal. It just doesn't look as awesome as the other parts they showed in that video. There's too much UI, enemy health bars and the shooting doesn't look super great. I'm still excited though.
