Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

I feel like I'm the only Vita owner utterly uninterested in P4G or Soul Sacrifice. You couldn't pay me to play either.

Mind you, I'm playing MUD, so perhaps I'm not of sound mind.

I totally understand you on Soul Sacrifice, nothing shown of that game so far has me even slightly interested. On the other hand by not playing P4G you're missing out on one of the greatest RPGs ever made.

Top of the page: Get Persona 4 Golden (You gotta listen now SmokyDave, top of the page is law)
and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles (PSP)

Not all that interested in P4G, though i'd play it if someone bought me it.

On the other hand, looking forward to Soul Sacrifice.

P4G was great but I don't have much interest in Soul Sacrifice. It looks like another monster hunter clone and that genre is trash to me. I don't dig tiny cut up areas that look bland and have no interaction outside of storing monsters, and I don't like basic quest design either.

I haven't paid $15 for my favourite video game of all time that was ported to Vita. I ain't paying $40 for some other PS2 port.

P4G >>>> your flop faves

whats this about 15 month ps+ ..

also, urban trials is fantastic

if you purchase a 12 month subscription to PS+ by March 4th you get a free 3 months tacked on. So 15 months of PS+ for $49.99 and with the March bonus you get $10 credit back in April(For every $50 bucks spent in the PSN store during March you get $10 credit when they pay it out in April). If anyone was thinking of getting PS+, today is the time to buy to get the free 3 months.

Kyon was calling a game I referred to as "my favourite video game of all time" a "flop". Now, MGS3 was a critical darling, and a sales success. A "flop" it is not.

Actually it wasn't the sales definition. Flop can mean 3 things a sales flop or a flop as in trash/lesser (definition I am using) and flop as in if something malfunctions or doesn't go your way it's a flop :p

I'm like 2 and a half hours into P4G and it's mostly dialogue except for that one battle where I discover my Persona.

I haven't played any RPGs other than Pokemon and I'm disappointed at how little you can explore and interact with people. Is it more of the same from here? Being impatient with modern games is part of why I love handhelds, so the idea of playing 10 hours to get to anything sounds kinda backwards.

Wait another hour and you will regreT the doubt you have in P4GSUS ChrisT

The first four-five hours of P4 are nothing like the rest of the game, it improves dramatically and branches a lot. It's a very slow starter for sure. Just keep playing ;)

Is the same true for P3P?

I started it and it seemed cool (the characters) but super repetitive and lacking in diversity

So question, how are you guys dealing with the data space situation? Did you guys just suck it up and buy $100 memory cards or are you rationing your space by downloading a couple of games at a time along with using actual game cards?

I've seen screens of people with their menus loaded up with games and I'm just curious if people are actually buying the 32GB cards. I'm thinking about sucking it up and jumping on one, even though I don't want to, just so I can actually store a good amount of content on it.

Plenty of us have the 32GBs, you can usually get them cheaper than $100 though so don't pay rec retail! amazon have them for just under $80 atm.

micromanaging my 4gb.

I was debating the 32gb 75$ bestbuy sale but thats still absurd so ill continue hold off until I find me a good deal.

To a lesser extent P3P is like that too. P4 has a lot more different stuff to do though, so I can see P3 getting repetitive way faster than P3.

This is basically what I'm doing but I plan on eventually loading this bad boy up with a bunch of PS1 and PSP games plus all of the free PS+ stuff so this 4GB card isn't going to cut it at all.

I got a 16GB card, seems the most logical choice for me, considering the price for 32GBs: I don't replay games too much so it's not a big deal if I have to delete some stuff I've beaten, I tend to play one game at a time and I plan on going all physical for games which go retail. So far I've had no issues with limited data space but I must clarify that I don't have PS Plus (by choice, it just doesn't suit the way I play games, although it's one hell of a service).

I have two 32GB cards and I still have to delete games off regularly :'(

I also buy retail.

Got a 8 GB card for free at launch but bought the 32 GB as soon as possible. Even imported it way before it was available in Europe. The memory cards are overpriced but in the end it is worth it.
My card is always full now and over half of my games aren't on it. I only buy the download versions, like to have every game starting with one touch. No video and music except music unlimited with some offline songs.

Just realized the banner on the webstore for the Vita Anniversary sale says it goes two weeks and that there are new games on sale each week so I guess we're getting a new batch Tuesday?

Thanks for the feedback on Smart as guys, I'll go buy it soon, but does anyone know how to delete the save data for it?

Can anyone link me to a guide to making a japanese psn account on my vita

Just go to the webstore, create account, set country to Japan and let Chrome's Translate do all the work. For the address part I think I got through just typing '1111' into each field or something, alternatively look up a Japanese city if needed.
