Episode 21

Liked the color stuff employed helped keep the episode fairly enjoyable. Really wasnt expecting much action and such since last episode went all out and it would have been probably impossible for the episode right after it to deliver in the intense storytelling and action aspect. However this episode did come out dull at times, dont really understand why they arena change and all of that to delay events by a few hours. Best moment was easily Joseph's two moments in which he reaffirmed his promise to Caesar as well as when he put on his colors, that was just really fantastic, heartwarming, and touching.

It was kind of strange or perhaps it was rather fitting that a character with such a boring personality would end up having a really boring and dull Ripple attack. Lisa Lisa has continuously been a major disappointment. I can only somehow hope that all of this is just a huge bluff and that she is somehow super epic and on Josephs level in upcoming events...

This episode makes me realize Straits is a dumbass. If he had the red stone before and know what it does then he should have kept it and use it together with the mask to get rid of the weakness.

Part 3. This anime only covers part 1 and 2, so you'll either have to wait for the next season or watch the older (and better animated) OVAs which cover that part.

I love Stardust, but it is more straightforward than the others.

It's a great culmination of 1 & 2, though.

New episode was fantastic, IMO. Not much happened, but the revelations and conditions towards the fights were awesome. Lisa Lisa bluffing it was ace and so was JoJo putting on the headband. Can't wait for next week's episode!

Heh, those are the last thing I'd consider minor in Jojo. Seriously, it is THE Jojo trademark, it's just not the trademark it started with, that would be the Ripple, which is Jonathan and Joseph's power.

Yeah, it sucks that Ripple was abandon in favour of Stands.

It would have been amazing if both Ripple and Stand use in combo. Instead we got a lousy Spin that was also abandon.

Heck the Ripple's uses are too much that they wouldn't be any different than a Stand power.

Pretty sure Araki stated this happening in one issue of SBR. Either in an issue or omake, but I'm sure he wrote about the evolution of these abilities.

Really liked this episode, but that's not a surprise
The OST is really fantastic, and I'm still getting over the fact they managed to get Roundabout for the ending! Anyway, the next few episodes should be great, and a transition into part 3 in ep 26 wouldn't go unappreciated...

As soon as I saw that I knew a gif would be made. I didn't realise that his outfit from the upcoming All-Star Battle is from the final fight (it's been ages since I read part 2).

According to some twitter translations, "it seems that he thinks that his music has been used in an unimpressive and underwhelming manner, that he wasted his effort put in...he 'doesn't remember composing such forgettable music'...he seemed to feel that he could've placed the music better&make it stand out, as opposed to it just fading into the background".

I kind of agree, so far the only tunes I like in part 2 are the next episode previews, the music when Joseph blasted the bottle cap at the corrupt cop, and maybe one another battle track. Yet I don't even remember what those tunes sound like (besides the next episode preview one).

God I miss the animation of the OVAs. I watched the Iggy episode first and, by god, no black censor bars there! At least the individual scenes weren't that truncated, just the arc itself lost so many "stand users of the week." As a fan it was annoying but it doesn't make it bad.

The black censor filter is completely removed for the DVD/BR release.They fix a lot of defaults.

i was also a bit disappointed to learn that Stands don't come at the start of the series since they were one of the things that i first learned about the series when i learned of it's existence (though a Gintama spoof heh)

i guess expecting Stands from the get-go is like going into Bleach expecting Bankais in the first 10 eps.

way too many posts happen due to the weekly shonen/smut to maintain any kind of sensible discussion about Jojo. like Maybe jojolion discussion once a month but to just have random banter it's way too busy in there.
