Had to be done.

Episode 22 was probably my favorite battle in the series yet. Loved the moment Jojo used the hammer to flip back onto the chariot.

Oh, yeah, this looked great. There was just a handful of great shots in this episode that helped distract us from the awful CG.

So I watched Episode 21 and 22 earlier today. Someone might have already mentioned this in the thread already but after
Lisa Lisa reveal her connection to Jojo's grandmother in ep 21 I was surprised that Jojo wasn't more shocked. If I recall this correctly then in episode 10 it was explained that the baby Erina saved on the ship and the baby she gave birth to married and had Jojo, that would make Lisa Lisa his mother. Having not read past the first arc in the manga my only guess is that they never told Jojo that the baby saved on the ship is his mother. Either that or I'm just very confused, I'll have to wait and see so manga readers...don't tell me the answer!

Oh, right! Wouldn't be surprised if that's revisited later. I've only followed the anime, but foreshadowing from a previous episode makes me think that
Lisa Lisa will die and that could be a scene where her significance to Jojo is revealed to him, if I'm not as confused as you are.

I could totally see something like this happening because
her whole connection to Jojo/Erina seems very unfinished, doubt that's the only thing they have to say about it, there has to be more to it.

Episode 22 was entertaining as hell. Definitely enjoyed it despite some bad animation parts here and there. Can't wait for next week's episode!

I love the reaction of the undead.

Also, I wonder what Stands the Pillar Men would develop.

SBR and Battle Tendency Spoilers -
Well, some fans assume Magenta Magenta is Kars' SBR universe counterpart, due to their similar deaths, so... 20th Century Boy for Kars?

It was almost strange seeing characters actually move in this show. :P It was okay, I do hope the animation budget is increased next season.

Some of the dialogue had me laughing quite a bit. Really if the first part of the anime didnt exist, this would easily be one of the top 25 anime Ive ever seen and probably one of the best ones. Liked this whole chariot race had so many excellent parts and was just so intense. Side dialogue from LisaLisa and Cars was entertaining and their exchanges and then Joseph's and Whams and surprising moments. Best moment
Joseph slipping out his boot then using the strap to cut injure the arms, and then close to the end when he is playfully crying and begging. All his tricks are excellent especially with the VA so into the role.
Ill so miss ACDC, Cars, Wham, Joseph, and Caesar once this whole anime ends :(.

Soundtrack is amazing, I need it.

No gif of cars pose? :(

What's wrong with the first part of the anime? I thought it was great.

Johnathan Joestar is a true gentleman. And not bad looking at all. Dio is hot/bishounen enough to carry the show in part 1.

Joseph is infinitely cooler, but part 1 was pretty enjoyable for me at least.

DTL has his... opinions on what makes a good series. Plentiful bishounens, boylove, pulling through at the last minute through the power of friendship... the more troperofic, the better.

I also think that part 1 was pretty cool.
It really was old-school, gentlemen beating the shit out of each other... It's just a really different atmosphere.

Part 1 just had numerous issues. It honestly lacks the same sorts of excitement, intense drama, suspense, and friendship that this part 2 offers. It completely failed to take advantage of its setting and characters to really develop JoJo and Dio in a way that is interesting. Their highlight was really just the time they lived together, I really did enjoy that. But then later on it went downhill. I mean here in part 2 we had Joseph and Caesar to really make it interesting to see their antics and near rivalry turned friendship, and then with the antagonists too that have interesting personalities and actually valuing each other and their foes while JoJo and Dio did what? Nothing memorable for the major part. The fights were dull too and everything took place when characters were way aged. And of course the conclusion was awful.
a protagonist dying, what even?
Part 1 at least gave good base designs for stuff outside of the anime, Dio is pretty awesome in that regard.

Part 2 is like near perfection of sorts.

I really don't understand the issue with this.

A protagonist dying is good for a long running story because it makes it so no one is safe.

The only thing part 2 has going for it is the main character is a big asshole and is more enjoyable to watch.

I should mention that it was Peter Banks that died, not Steve Howe.
Howe did the guitar for Fragile (the album with Roundabout) and many other Yes albums. Banks did the guitar for their first two albums ("Yes" and "Time and a Word").

Still, RIP.
