UMvC3 stomps all over SFxT graphically and performance-wise

What are you talking about? There was way less compromise in the backgrounds and characters in SFxT compared to UMvC3. SFxT is not native res, but it does have good use of AA, which UMvC3 has none.

I'd say the characters look better in UMvC3 (more defined musculature, self-shadows, etc.), but I'd somehow forgotten how big an impact the static backgrounds had. I stand corrected.

In two weeks, we'll finally have a no-compromises fighter, though (BlazBlue excepted). Buy DOA5+, everyone!

Anyone who wants to play some Hot Shots asynchronous against me is always welcome to send a request. That's the way a golf game should be if you ask me, sort of turn based.

OK, so the load times in both versions of SFxTK appear to be the same. The slight stutter IS in the cart version too -why I'm noticing it so much now I have no idea- but it seems slightly more noticeable on the downloadable version. Not enough to make a difference, so I think I will sell the cart off after all.

Ah, yes. I always forget that UMvC3 had static backgrounds.

I'd say they're a tie then as far as visuals go. But SFxT gets the edge every time because of cross-play.

Do you plan on transferring your DOA5 profile to DOA5+ or starting from scratch, by the way? My ranked match "grade" is so terrible because of all the disconnects I used to get before the big patch, and I'd rather start with a clean slate.

I barely touched ranked, so I'm definitely going to do a profile transfer. Not interested in unlocking costumes again either, lol.

Can't wait for DOA5+...cross play/saving makes it all worth it!

I was just going to post this as well. $50 is the lowest these memory cards have gone...well not counting the $40 price mistake TigerDirect honored for those that placed the order a long while back.

Good deal.

would switching between two.. mess up those bubbles?

3 actually. I currently switch between two 16gb cards. Yes, it messes up the bubbles, which I hate. I means I no longer even attempt to organize the bubbles. Frustrating, but I can't do anything about until Sony fixes it.

it will decimate your bubble layout

I recommend taking screenshots of your layouts and such. At least, I have to do it because I don't remember how I position them. :lol

I would do that, but I switch between cards every couple of days so it would drive me crazy organizing them that often.

I'm down. I'll be on in the evening, EST time. I think I already have you added.

As tempting as this is, I don't own enough Vita games to really justify buying this. I buy mostly physical versions of games and my 16GB is serving me well so far. I have a few games from PS+ but since I'm not an active subscriber I can't play them so I transferred them to my laptop. Think I'm just going to stand pat with what I've got right now.

Anybody enjoying Germinator?
I bought it because my 6yo daughter loved the demo (cute germs and bubble shooting).
But in fact i must say the gameplay is top notch (in its genre of course). There is strategy involved due to specials mechanic, and arcade mode is really good because you go from slow paced to frantic speed in 3 or 4 minutes games.
Recommended if you like bubble shooting!

CVG reported that Vita sales "exploded over Christmas" in the UK. 20 fold was mentioned, but we don't know how much that means, haha.

Sony guy also said about games:
"It looks bare in terms of what we have announced. The cupboard won't be bare."

So there's still to be announced? where is it plz sony

EDIT: Someone in the comments suggested they drop the price to £100. Haha, no.

i'm expecting that it's just a bunch of indie games that will be announced at the end of this month.

I suppose it's possible though that sony is keeping a number of fall releases quiet so they can announce them in one go later this year to make a big splash and line them all up so that they go well with a price drop.

Why the hell would they annouce everything in February when they also have E3 and Gamescom ?

I am guessing there is some stuff to announce that is between now and E3 and shortly after E3.

I didn't mean to imply they would announce everything, just a number of games at the end of this month. We have seen plenty of hints that a number of indie games will be announced at either pax or gdc for the vita.

They of course will still have stuff to announce at E3 and Gamescom as well as at random other points, it's not like the 100 vita games that came out in the last year were all dumped at one spot. I expect the reveal at the end of march to be bigger in the number of games than e3 or gamescome for the vita though, as I figure come e3 time is when sony is going to shift over hard core to ps4 focus, and most of the stuff announced from then on will be ps4 related, so they will want to announce a good number of games for the ps3/psv that they have before then.

Personally what would make the most sense to me is to announce a number of games for the vita at the end of this month to release late june and july, and then at E3 announce a vita price drop and a memory card price drop (yes both of them) to try to jump start vita sales during the summer, it's not the ideal time to relaunch a platform, but it's a better time then later this year when they want people to buy the ps4 instead.

edit: I just noticed you said february, just as a side note the current month is march. at the end of this month as i said before are pax and gdc the places that a number of summer releases get announced at.

Yay uk!

Is there anyway we will get actual numbers though?

well if 20 fold is a legit estimate if we take the lowest amount we have seen for NA (37k) and multiply it by 20... we get 740k so uh... who knows lol.

Thanks to you both, 53.38 Shipped :)

Wasn't planning to get such a thing at ALL soon, but that's just too good to pass up.

I've done pretty well with 8 gigs. The amount of games that I can now keep on "4 times" the memory... -cheer!-
