Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

If you are using multiple cards and dont want to move bubbles around at all I think your best bet is to have the first few pages be the ones that wont move.

For example

page 1 - cart game bubbles
page 2 - system level apps
page 3 - proberbly more system level apps

then just let everything else be throw to the back pages.

From the testing I did with my 2 cards (I dont actively use my other card right now). I seemed that cart and system level apps remember there position. Its the downloaded apps / games that get thrown to a mess on the back pages.

Im currently OK just using my 32 gig as I can easily just delete stuff im not playing. (im basically full right now but I have platinumed Grush and uncharted on there as well as LBP, all which can be deleted for now if I need room).

Saying that I would love a 128gig card.

What would the shipping costs be? The last time I wanted to ship something from the US, the shipping costs were more than twice as high as the cost of the actual item.

try comgateway.com or hopshopgo.com I use those to ship things from the US

I want Soul Sacrifice, but I'm not in the US and I'm pretty much money-less right now lol.

Also, there's more rumours about the new Batman Arkham game... maybe we'll see a reveal of a new game and this possible Vita spin-off in 2-3 months. If it's even happening.
 
I'm assuming if I made a Soul Sacrifice preorder now in the UK, I would get the preorder bonuses even though right now the sites offering it aren't explicitly saying they'll include the DLC and Japanese audio track? Amazon don't even have it available for preorder yet, from what I can see, which seems a little odd. It's nice we're getting it in such close proximity to the US release, though.
 
I'm also interested in that 50$ 32GB offer :( If any VitaBro/Sis is willing to ship it to the mainland Europe please let me know. I'll Paypal the money.

Dont get your hope up people.Judging from the pre-orders Sony must not have shipped more than 120.000 copies.So it will probably debut with 70-80k.I would love to be wrong though.Game looks awesome and from the impressions it seems it deserves it.

I have heard very mixed things about the pre-orders from hardly any to sold out.

Was there ever any solid data on this?

personally I feel you are correct, while I am not going to write of soul sacrifice, and there has been plenty of sings of some hype in japan, but i have always felt it was going to be a title that starts off with ok but not great numbers but continues to sell as people tell their friends how awesome it is and they go out and get it.

So few new IPs start off huge.

Only COMG data but many people dont consider it accurate.I've been watching it for a year actually and most of the numbers are accurate.I can only remember 3 or 4 games that had a big difference in numbers at their debut.

Soul Sacrifice had 40 points in the COMG chart.For most games 1 point=1k.

Yes this is true.Soul Sacrifice must have good legs if it wants to be succesful since it is a new IP.Than after that release a Soul Sacrifice 2 and BOOM.

im guessing that doesn't take into account preorders on the console bundle though?
I am curious how many of those sony managed to ship out as i wouldn't be surprised if a decent number of those sold.

thats true. However its had a huge push from sony and a rather large demo that was pretty popular.

I think it will sell pretty well (maybe 80k-120k opening week) and then have legs.

But I have no idea really. Just interested to see what happens.

i would imagine sony shipped at least 100k, it's kind of the title they have been hyping for a while now in japan.

I also have to figure we won't see some big number like 300k as if sales were going that rapidly we would have heard about it already...

I would take the lack of hearing much of anything as more of a it's doing well... not amazing, not bad just well.

True. I just mean the whole vita saved stuff tends to last a week tops. Then uh oh. Would be nice to have that not happen for a bit. The 'Chasm of 9k' is just my reference to where vita has been sleeping till last week. Not a reference to ss sales

I'm a little confused, but - she can use your memory card but unless her Vita is also tied to your account she won't be able to get the content you bought on your account. If she has her own account on her Vita then you'll need to make sure the memory card is tied to it, too.
 
I think highish numbers for the console are a safe bet this week, I'm just really interested to see if the software and price drop make a long term difference and it stays higher.

I've said from the start i expect around a total of 200k in japan for the vita in march. I fully expect that this week will be near last weeks console numbers baring a shortage (which is doubtful with a new bundle coming out)

ideally we will have good news next week, as if sony can get the ball rolling in japan we will get some bigger japanese games which could only help sales in the rest of the world if they are localized... for example perhaps a type 0 vita port will become reality?

ah I don't follow this japanese stuff to often because in general I don't care so thanks for clarifying... to much heart break when i follow japanese games that don't make it over... and then to much depression when i think about the fact that I could learn japanese to play those games but i litterally have over 100 JRPGs to still play that are in english :/

it depends on how much sony had in storage and how much they want it easy to find compared to rare where people jump on it. Given they had a price cut and hoped for big sales I wouldn't be surprised if sony had 200k units in a warehouse ready to ship out if needed, if you are expecting orders for more consoles and you have them on hand ready to go I would hope get them out in 2-4 days. (unless japan's postal service is way worse than UPS/USPS/FedEX in the USA)

i mostly call it that because I can't be bothered to remember the japanese name, and in my dream world that is the localized title >.>
