So much for retail only. These sales are killing my memory card.

i haven't had any issues with that, none of the sales have been good enough that I have gone damn screw retail I want it now...

on the flip side if i hadn't already owned el shadi for the ps3, I likely would have picked it up when the xbox put it on sale for $3.

but i mean I can get rayman for $16 without to much trouble for a physical copy... thus $13 doesn't interest me, and lumines is currently $14 on amazon, so if i wanted it I could just go that route as I much prefer physical copies so if they are around the same price I will just get them that way.

I should note though, that it is nice to see sony putting digital stuff on sale that is competitive with retail at least... that is at least a step in the right direction.

Lumines is the type of game you want on your memory card at all times. Such an easy pick up and play game, perfect for a handheld.

disgaea is more my random pick up and play game :P

my plan after i finished persona 4 was to have my disgaea cart just sit in the vita, but since i can get that digitally now it will likely end up being MK that just sits in my vita for a while until I pick up soul sacrifice

I have been pretty tempted to snag DJMax from that Play-Asia sale since I really don't foresee it being a title that decreases in price. The used copies on Amazon are ridiculously priced. After watching a few more gameplay videos though, I think I will pass. This will probably be a later life system digital for me, when the price is right around $20. Not saying I wouldn't enjoy the game, I just don't need another game interferring with my already daunting backlog. Lumines alone set me back months on my backlog.

hehe your backlog is only at daunting eh... mine is so big at this point that my backlog has a backlog that has a backlog >.>

across all platforms, if I added things up I wouldn't be surprised if I had over 700 games to play that I own but haven't played more than 30 minutes of yet

If it wasn't for my obsession with gaming, I technically wouldn't have to buy a new game in years, because I have so many to play already. Between my PS3, Vita, and PC, I have hundreds of games to play, and not enough time to play them, and new games releasing all the time.

I'm on the fence for DJMAX at this point.

I also regret picking up a physical copy of Lumines back in Nov, but can't bring myself to pay for the game twice.

Me and you could be bros. Same situation

Hello fellow GAFfers, sorry if this is not the right thread but today I got a PS Vita and I'm very happy. I was going to buy it new. My plan was to get just the Vita on my local GAME Store and then the Memory Card on another Store however they only had the Call of Duty Pack or Resistance pack with a 4GB Memory card so I got (for the first time Hardware related) a used Vita.

I'm friend with the owner and he can be trusted so I made the jump. I algo a 16GB since I do not have the 32GB in here and it only cost me 20€ (I could say how much my VITA cost me with my Store credit but you guys wouldn't believe it).

I have now a long PS Plus Backlog. Downloading Gravity Rush as my main game and will download others too.

Curious about Persona 4 since I've been looking for a game with some Story and the Uncharted Cards game.

I have no Traveling case for my Vita or any other Accessories so I will search this thread a bit for that info.

To finish (sorry for the long text wall) just a curiosity, this is my second Portable Console, ever. My first was a Silver Game Boy Pocket back in the day. I've been a Home Console mostly and I'm happy for being back after so many years.

Thanks for reading fellow GAFfers!

Welcome to the party.

I'll recommend p4g as well. 80 hours for my first play through. See my reasons for getting a few pages back.

I'd play it again if I didn't have so many other games to get through.

What about the videos made you change your mind? People who make videos of music games tend to make them at the highest difficulty so if you're worried about game difficulty, don't be! The game does a very good job of offering something for players of all skill levels.

I think i might bite on djmax, how is playasia's shipping to canada?

Aren't they offering free shipping worldwide? Probably not very fast though.

oh I know that feeling, I have a good month and clear 6 games and then look back and figure out I bought 10 new ones lol.

the indie bundles on PC don't help me as a number of them interest me.

sony needs to become more willing to give out keys so we can have a humble vita indie bundle :P

I'm at a point in my life where I have enough money to buy some of the games I want but not enough time. So, same boat as you guys. :P

So I've never played a Castlevania game but always wanted to. I know Symphony of the Night is suppose to be the best; Any reason not to buy The Dracula X Chronicles on PSN and go with a different version?

Not really. The only if is that the Dracula X remake, that is the main game is (somewhat) the weakest of the 3. But the collection is awesome.

Dude that does sound crazy. I'm considering it... gah how good is djmax. I have not touched my vita since persona 4 in mid january.

It was honestly 1/3 of the reasons I bought a Vita in the first place. There are also lots of other impressions and info in the now-stuck-in-the-community-ghetto OT.

Heck, I liked it enough that I ground out that Gravity Race challenge for a few hours to be able to make it game of the month. =p

The turnoff is how bad it would probably suck me in. The only thing that turned me off for DJMax is the amount of poppy music. I'm not huge into J/Kpop and it seems the majority is that. Don't misinterpret that though. I'm sure I would love, adore, and drop 70+ hours into it. Just too much going on ight meow.

I spent a lot of time on rhythm games this generation and am just afraid another will interfere with some games I truly want to buckle down and play. I finally just finished Bioshock 2 yesterday and I want to play through Infamous 1/2 this month (in addition to finally starting Disgaea 3, a title I haven't touched since buying at release).

I'm not sure I get this line of reasoning; one of the great things about music games is that you can play as long or as little as you want. It's not like an Infamous or a Disgaea where you're in it for the long haul, it lends itself great to short sessions if that's all you have time for.

Writing off the entire songlist as J-Pop/K-Pop is unfair, especially when the game's K-Pop license (Kara) only covers 5 of the game's 60+ songs. I think they managed a lot of variety in the songlist, which is rather huge for a portable music game as it is. The OT even has all the songs and their purported genres listed out if you want to see how they're described in-game.

Thank you for your words fellow GAFfer. I will look for your post to get some impressions!

Hope it can be my first Vita game, just need to wait a little more time (money) even if the price is "okay" on amazon.uk right now. Very tempted but I have to wait.

I just bought it with 15$ shipping. T_T. WHYYYYY. Yo continue to help justify my purchase. My poor wallet, I could have bought tomb raider or god of war or something :(

Yup. Can't wait to pick up Lumines. Rayman is a gorgeous game and well worth that price.

People on the fence don't forget to try the demos.

Yep. I know that feel.

Never owned a Naruto game but I played one once. Didn't buy it because of my PS3 backlog but I'll bite on Vita.

I'm guessing I won't need to know the story from the anime or previous games to play or is it a fan service game like one piece.

not like if it is true that we would see it in english, the vita is pretty dead to namco outside of japan >.>;

Cheers and welcome. Persona 4 as many say in this thread is great.

Yup no need to play the others but they are all really good games :D Buy Persona 3 Portable when you are done and dont listen to anyone that tells you its not good (you know who you are)

Two questions for vita gaf.

If I never played lumines for more than a 2 min xbla demo will I be confused as fuck if I get it on vita? Or are there good tutorials?

Also

How bad is dungeon hunter alliance? I mean is it dynasty warriors bad or is it diablo 3 level bad.

Yeap. I'm also playing Persona 4 right now and I'm loving it. Be prepared for it to be your main game for a while though.

Gravity Rush is excellent. I hope it clicks with you.

Here is a quick guide to Lumines on how to get good.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance is more like Diablo than Dynasty Warriors.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance worth it at that discount?

I would normally say get Untold Legends, but since those games are $15 I say Dungeon Hunter if you want a dungeon crawler. Just be weary that even though its the ps3 port it plays and looks like the iOS versions.
