Well the Xbox could be less powerful. I don't much care. There were rumors throughout 2012 that said the Xbox was significantly more powerful. The 2010 roadmap had 2 gpus and ddr4 as opposed to one gpu and ddr3. There is no telling what is true but the vgleaks source said the devkit was 10 months old when it was leaked. There is no way of telling but I think it is possible to for ms to try to regulate expectations by releasing false info or something isn't true. Some of these rumors have to be bullshit and we won't know which are till april and e3.
Some people are interpreting the crap from IGN as something of substance when its all just bullshit, some people do take it as word of god and thats the problem.
DDR4 doesn't exist yet, and a lot of what we have been seeing has been inline with the Durango conference from last year which displayed there vision. Seriously guys dual APU's is retarded.

Durango conference showed off exactly what vgleaks is saying GPU/RAM wise.
The IGN crap which has 0 substance people here are already taking as the Durango has had a upgrade, it doesn't even contain any words.

There seems to be an overall aura of denial in this thread. VGLeaks (in accordance to other websites) was 99% correct on the Playstation 4 specifications, so why wouldn't that remain true for their "Next" Xbox leaked specifications as well? How has this thread gotten so out of hand and away from the main topic?
I dunno where the conference docs come from but they are clearly legit.
Also I have no idea who vgleaks multiple sources are but multiple people are saying the same thing, it seems pretty likely to me.

The Durango Conference last year, don't fall into the trap of dismissing it because it was last year a console is a very long term goal and the info being from last year means its going to be practically spot on if they want to launch this year.
It's no use apparently in this thread VGleaks, EuroGamer, Edge, etc is using old Data so anything is possible, from Dual APUs, to custom IBM CPUs now VR goggles. Who knows what they'll think of next but it's very entertaining to say the least.

Yes, clearly those of us waiting for an official announcement of Microsoft's next gen gaming console, much less official technical specs...are clearly delusional in our reluctance to accept as indisputable facts, the unconfirmed, anonymous leaks that, in at least one famous case, are over a year old.

And the more hits their site gets...the greater their potential revenue.

I believe the leaked specs so far are at least 90% true, leaving open the possibility of some slight tweaks here and there (mainly to clock speeds, etc.). I just think Microsoft is going in a slightly different direction from Sony. That's not to say the architecture will be diluted to the point where the Xbox won't be capable of suitably playing all multiplatform games, I just believe it may not provide the overall technical fidelity we will surely see from Sony's first-party offerings.
I think, unfortunately for core gamers, there will be a HUGE Kinect influence in their next console, and I think the reason will be because of its integration with their megaton announcement: virtual reality gaming. I think that potential feature will be Microsoft's unrelated answer to Sony's Gaikai offering. I'm not sure if virtual reality technology is advanced enough (or cheap enough) in its current stage to truly take off, but I think like we've seen with Kinect, Microsoft is willing to jump the gun on innovations still in their infancy.
