Her eyes are amazing, surely she was an icon i the 60s.
Maybe my favorite scene is her in the pool saloon where she's for a while happy and carefree..
I saw it years ago but in a crappy quality, so waiting for BluRay to rewatch.

What a piece of garbage. The slow-mo fights, the sloppy CGI, the generic locations and the forced "genius moments" where puzzle pieces are suddenly joined in Sherlocks brilliant mind... such a disgrace of the Shercol Holmes name.
Can't wait for the sequel.

Watched a British horror thriller called Kill List (2011). Pretty scary movie. Kinda reminded me of Collateral at least where it concerns the basic premise. It starts to get damn crazy towards the end, and some of the violence is straight up brutal.
Fantastic soundtrack that really gets under your skin as well. I certainly recommend this one to horror fans, but don't expect to have "fun" with this one. It's brutal and shocking and when I turned the movie off I wanted a drink.

I really enjoyed both Sherlock movies. They're great popcorn entertainment. Worth it alone for the chemistry between Downey and Law.

Argo- I've seen highschool AV club videos that were more compelling and more believable. Do not waste your time with this trash.
Cloud Atlas- A pretty cool-looking pile of shit. I don't know what happened while they were making this movie, but at some point there had to exist a good enough script to get some major stars to sign on. They must have then sent the script to the zoo to have the monkeys do re-writes.

Same here. I won't run around suggesting that everyone must see them, but they were fun movies. I suppose I'm not a Sherlock fan and maybe a fan would feel like the original material isn't being respected. But for me, both movies were a fun little ride.

The Naked Gun, aka Police Squad: The Movie. Great comedy with a gag a minute. Even when you think there's a dull moment, they pull another joke.

Alien^3 | I'll preface this by saying that I have seen Alien & Aliens dozens of times. I've probably watched Alien more than any other film, now that I think about it. I had never seen Alien^3 or Resurrection, but I received the blu-ray anthology recently and figured I might as well jump in now. I thought the movie had some interesting ideas, but it failed to execute them.
was super wack and off-putting for me, though. The movie didn't tell me anything about a majority of the characters so I got to watch a bunch of nameless bald guys bite the dust via TERRIBLE alien pov running sequences. What the hell were those about? There was nothing really tense or frightening about any of this, and the digitized alien is laughable now whereas the organic costume from the original movie is still frightening to this day, imo. In all, I thought it was a neat premise but it was handled awkwardly, lots of hokey cutting back-and-forth between action sequences, for example. The whole movie was simply awkward, but I'll admit that I somewhat enjoyed watching Ripley run around and do her thing, as ridiculous as it was. I give it a 2/5. I'm gonna be watching Resurrection soon. **Note: I watched the anthology's director's cut, which I'm assuming is the assembly cut?

It's extremely low budget and filmed like a regular TV show (hey no wonder the guys from various CSI shows were attracted to it), but it had some well done, spooky montages. All of the recorded bits were great but there weren't enough of them in my opinion. I think this movie is worth it just for seeing the caruso FUCK YOU .gif in action. I thought the twist was pretty weak and predictable, but it didn't totally ruin the movie for me. Solid to good psychological-thriller, 3/5

Yeah, I was impressed with Reilley. Thought he held his own against the other three.

Is Primer worth buying in HD over SD? iTunes has it on a good sale, but given it's source video, I'm vacillating on getting in HD if it's not going to add anything.

The saddest thing is that the alien was actually a really boss looking puppet that was destroyed by terrible lighting.
Not that it would have saved those parts of the flim, mind, it could have just made it a little easier to swallow.
Really, the saddest thing is that, after an hour, all the good things about the movie are gone and, like you said, you just get to watch about 40 min of nameless people dying via non-scary means.

It's not bad. I thought Jodie foster was unbearable. Waltz was good as usual and Winslet was superb. I thought Reilly was over-matched at first, then he turned out to be the most interesting character of them all. It's your basic one-room play (like "The Big Kahuna") - once you get over the ridiculousness of them walking in and out of the apartment, it's very entertaining.

I liked the second one WAY more than the first: MUCH better plot, better action and Jared aka "Jesus Christ" Harris as Moriarty. I adore Mark Strong but Lord Blackwood was a shitty villain

To the Wonder, Upstream Color and Spring Breakers would actually make for a great triple feature. A frustrating one, but their styles are crazy similar.

A friend came over and wanted to see it. He was a fan of the show and I used to watch it, so I caved. Might have to reevaluate my liking of the show. Well at least there was some hotness.
I've only seen crappy or regular movies recently. I need to watch something great soon to wash the taste.

Funny you mention Malick because Grace from BTT described the first half of Spring Breakers as a Malick-like moodpiece. Which just made me perk up a bit.

It is no where near a Malick movie in terms of quality, but the editing style in both Spring Breakers and To the Wonder are not wildly different. Lots of repetition and more of a free form approach.
Everything I'm hearing about both To The Wonder and Spring Breakers is like music to my ears, excited to see both.

I've been avoiding this but will have to watch it eventually.
I was surprised by how much I liked the sequel. A great deal is owed to the chemistry between Downey Jr and Law, their back and forth banter is great continuation from the first movie and pulls you right in, almost like you never 'left'. (if that makes sense)

The Abyss - Pretty much exactly what I expected from a James Cameron movie. Really well directed and some great intense acting from Ed Harris, but my God were the characters and dialogues terrible. The

The Evil Dead- That was seriously awesome. Cheesy, B-movie goodness. The way the bodies decompose at the end is great, so over the top and disgusting. I wish more movies today did that, the remake will probably just use CGI

I strangely enjoyed the Ninth gate somehow... nothing amazing but fun enough to keep me interested plus dat "surprising" twist 
Glad to hear the 2nd Sherlock is supposedly pretty good, i didn't care much for the first one, about to watch the 2nd now, hopefully it won't disappoint!
