B is rendered. Outside of shading, lighting and reflective differences, the frames on B have jaggies and are practically painted onto the wall.
But A has unrealistic Unreal 4-looking reflections.

Fixed.I think there is enough conclusive evidence to remove "CG" from the thread title.
what about stuff like this?
It doesn't seem like that far a leap getting from this to Mogren in 3 years..

Someone needs to gif his reaction to the Fox Engine slip. lol
Been posted a billion times throughout this thread:

Anyone know what the deal is with the shadow of the railing here:

I'm new to the thread so forgive me for repeating what has probably been said a lot, but those eyes give the CG away. I don't think I've ever seen a human do a slow half blink like that, unless they were purposely trying to.
That's still some really impressive stuff though.
Kojima is awesome.
I feel like I'm in the Matrix.Pardon me if someone already covered this on here, but I'm just copying what someone said on Destructoid, because it was somewhat relevant to this.
I figured out why it's called Moby Dick Studios!
Moby Dick was written by Melville. Filmmaker Jean-Pierre Melville took that author's name because he was a fan of Melville and Moby Dick. Jean-Pierre Melville's second film?
Les Enfants Terribles!
you have some catching up to do.

Now this looks more convincing but the chin gives it away, makes it obvious why they bandaged Joakim up.This thread. What.

couldnt find a similar image, but is it too much to hope that its actually the supports in the wall that are casting the shadow instead
yeah maybe... oh well.. maybe it's the PS3 version![]()
This thread. What.

My reaction.
People seriously think this is CG?
If so, graphics have fooled me to the point where I thought they were real, which would be a big 'holy shit' moment.
It's all but confirmed, just got off the phone with Joakim. The twist? He doesn't even exist! I was taking to myself. The phantom pain strikes again.
Plus those eyeballs are huge. Thought they were going to pop out.
ha ha, i was saying that earlier, to me, its either:
A:this is CG
B:he's reptilian.
Yes. I've never been "tricked" before. But if this was CG then it marks the first time I believed I was watching something real when it actually wasn't.
Crazy...

Wow, other than the dithering on the texture on his cheek, that's a pretty solid Kojima model. Hell, if they can do this, pulling off Mogren isn't out of the realm of possibility. Background is obviously 2D, but what can you do.
You're right, this is impossible. Not sure why people think it's not CG.Just woke up and this is still going hey?
All we can really see are the eyes and mouth. The eyes do not move properly and consistently when he blinks.
His mouth? He never opens it whilst always speaking clearly nor does he have a tongue beyond two frames... when it overlaps his teeth through the corner of his mouth. And also breathing? His nose is taped up so he needs to breathe through his mouth.
Everybody try at home. Hold your nose, keep your teeth together and conduct a three minute interview. Your lips still need to move in an exagerrated motion. It isn't possible, not even close.
It is CG.

Get Digital Foundry on the caseIn all seriousness, can't someone prove or disprove this with actual analysis? Or is that not possible?
Moby Dick, a ferocious, enigmatic white sperm whale.
And wtf at the guy saying you can't move your upper eyelids without moving the lower ones, does that mean I'm a mutant? I should give CG Professor X a call.
His eyes don't move properly because he has a bandage tied around his eyebrows, which restricts his eye movement. Try it at home with a scarf or bandana or something, your eyes do a slow half blink naturally, and it does look weird.
I cracked it guys, it's all a metaphor of sex. The bandages, the awkward movements, erratic blinking, Sweden. That must be it.
Just watched the video interview. Do not believe person in head wrapping is CGI/fake. Looks too real
