Okay, TeamCG. Come own up to your foolishness. #trolljima

Is Joakim Mogren CG?

Best. Thread. Ever.

I'm on Team CG. Even if it's not CG, we've gotten to the point where it COULD be and that's enough to make this very, very interesting.

I WANT TO BELIEVE.

That's pretty fucking incredible if that's CG.

First two are real. Last one is a CG replacement!

The way the lips and eyes move give it away. Colour of the lips and width of the mouth are different. The bandage covering his upper lip also doesn't react to his moving lips like it should. Case closed.

XD

Only a Konjima thread can have people questioning the integrity of a human face. Bravo Hideo, you prince of Nippon, you king of kobe.

I'm willing to bet this so called 'TeamReal' is a phony, a ruse to trick us all! Team real are all CG. You can't fool me!

I'm not following the FF games but you are talking about something that wasn't done with the game engine correct?

Because this thread claims FOX engine, the same game engine that will power the next MGS game has rendered this dude. Maybe not in real time, but in engine.

Can game engines make CGI or do they use another engine for that? If it's the latter...well I don't know if the engine can do it (and I don't think Versus XIII is that way). I don't think the guy is rendered in real time using the engine. But as a CGI person I think it's possible.

Hahah!

TeamCG just believes in anything.

They rendered some decent eyes and a pretty poor looking mouth. I don't think this CG is even all that impressive.

I believe this is the likely case as well. Both real and CG models are used during that interview. Would make perfect sense considering Kojima and what they're doing with the FOX Engine.

Hahaha, so this is still going on?

Everbody should get a permanent avatar button or something that forever identifies them as team cgi / team real.

I feel like this being its own thread, one of 15+ pages no less, it not exactly helping anyone. Now we have this absurd debate overshadowing the slim of possibility of it being true. The story here isn't that Kojima does crazy things, it is that people think Kojima does crazy things. The latter is less fun and now we don't even care Joakim exists in the first place, which is pretty crazy in itself.

I was in team real... but I showed it to my fiancee who has a good eye for this stuff and she thinks its CG. now i don't know what to think.

Kojima is the master troll

Kojima brought a little crazy and things have escalated from there. I am of no doubt that should he wish to retake the crazy reins, he will have plenty more planned. Lest we forget that Joakim proclaims he will be at GDC... which right now at least, is both fodder for TeamCG AND TeamReal :P

Whatever happens, no-one knows what to expect. We are back in "Wait, we play as Raiden?" territory. Regardless of the tizzy we work ourselves into with over-active imaginations, Kojima can get us back on track any time he needs to.
