Ooh, if they keep the Bonus Content / Merchandise addons for every game on sale, this might be verrry interesting. Also props for international shipping!

Wow great! Perfect to get a great indie game on the cheap or get lots of merch for favorites..
I love Super Meat Boy and already own it but would gladly donate to charity to get some merch based on it! I hope they do it!

(also I just bought Bastion)

Dinner Date is awful. It's a "game" that was designed with the concept of "games as art" in mind, yet it disrespects the "game" portion so much that it ends up being neither. It's just a depressing crock of shit that tries to be sophisticated by making the character French, but the entire game is an illusion of choice while in reality nothing you do matters.

In the game, you have control over individual fingers and by "pulling" at them, you can "slightly influence" the choices of the guy you're in the perspective of, but in reality, you're influencing nothing. You just have to trigger the event that's next in line-- with the game ending in just under 30mins with no sense of completion of getting anywhere at all. You don't feel for the character. You don't care about the setting and "plot". Nothing.

Play Journey. "Games as art" in the right direction. Pass this one up if it's ever on sale alone.

While I agree with your critique, I would not say the character looks French just because he drinks wine, eats bread, and smokes. Maybe it was the intention of the dev, who is Dutch, though, just as in Bientôt l'été, which tries to play the French chord. In this case, the game is playing with an old cliché.

My bad, playing to stereotypes too much. Bientôt l'été is better than dinner date, but I still feel like that game puts too much emphasis on the "art" and not enough on the "game," despite it trying to be, that it still falls short of being either.

Bought it this morning, still waiting for keys, though. The vitriol aimed at Dinner Date has me really curious to play it now.

Geneforge Saga is unlocked now... Speaking of which, I have a Steam key available for Geneforge Saga now, and still have a Steam key for Crayon Physics Deluxe, both of which I will be willing to give in PM to whoever asks for it.

EDIT: Correction! I had a Steam key for Geneforge Saga, but Leon Belmont had PM me for it and I gave it to him!
