Two questions guys: AE is older than UMvC3 isn't? So, why the hell the UMvC3 development team has dissolved into other projects and the AE one didn't?
Yes. AE is actually a good game.

Guess which game made more money/is more popular.
Apparently Art accidentally leaked an Injustice character on twitter lol

Capcom's answer: "We feel that the Marvel games strive on creativity and we don't want to stifle the creativity with balance patches"Two questions guys: AE is older than UMvC3 isn't? So, why the hell the UMvC3 development team has dissolved into other projects and the AE one didn't?
They could of patched it out with the first balance patch and they didn't. That balance patch overall was stupid. You killed sc5.
I remember a few years ago Capcom had a similar character poll in Japan, and Chun Li got about half the total votes.
When Marvel puts their foot down on development Capcom must heed. Two questions guys: AE is older than UMvC3 isn't? So, why the hell the UMvC3 development team has dissolved into other projects and the AE one didn't?
I still haven't watched that panel after hearing how disappointing it was.AE is wholly owned by Capcom with no rights management Olympics needing to be played to alter a half of the roster. Marvel team was disbanded because at the time of their last evaluation, they felt it would be better to live with the kinda-sorta good-to-middling return they made on releasing Ultimate than devote anymore time to playing said Olympics for updates of any kind. What they didn't expect was for the Marvel fanbase to be so vocal (to which Nitsuma was sent out a few times to hush people, see last EVO panel), and for Ultimate which had sold 3/10ths of Vanilla's LTD at the time (600K) to keep selling in the interim.
Also, AE is more internationally popular than Marvel.
Capcom should just make their own UMVC3 game in their own universes/characters and be done with it.
No sharing profits, no asking permission, do whatever they want.
I think they'll look at it to find what is most salient and then cross-reference that with their own observations/change log.Asking for community input seems like a nice idea, but it needs to be very carefully vetted. Some of the most-requested changes that made it into the first SoulCalibur V patch were amazingly stupid.
Not to mention that they have the engine to test the changes and see if they work or not. We can make suggestions but we can't test our own suggestions.I think they'll look at it to find what is most salient and then cross-reference that with their own observations/change log.
I think they'll parse the suggestions but I don't think they'll hold much weight. Let's not forget they are the professionals and know way more about the environment, interactions and backend they created than players who mostly see the face level stuff.
Not only did they not remove the infinite, they gave in to all the people who whined about Viola not doing enough damage. Now instead of being a solid mix-up character with decent damage output, she's a solid mix-up character with insane damage output and ring-out capability. And an infinite. They could of patched it out with the first balance patch and they didn't. That balance patch overall was stupid.
The same could be said about Namco. Keep in mind I'm not saying that requesting community input is a bad thing. It's just good to maintain a healthy skepticism.Let's not forget they are the professionals and know way more about the environment, interactions and backend they created than players who mostly see the face level stuff.

Nah it wouldn't be MARVEL.
Its sad that capcom needs the community feedback to know whats fun/balanced.
I wish they would give it up on AE.

It was called Fighting Jam
it sucked.
Cant have Mahvel without MAHVEL

I find it weird capcom is going to do another patch for sf4 with sfxt out.
Why do people complain about lack of balance updates for a game they don't even play competitively?
This too.Not to mention that they have the engine to test the changes and see if they work or not. We can make suggestions but we can't test our own suggestions.
Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree. And I think that skepticism is there too, Capcom will do things even if people disagree with them, but it's usually in the best interest of what they know (see Wesker in the transition between games). You can't always bow to the knees of your fans, cause often they're misinformed or wrong. The same could be said about Namco. Keep in mind I'm not saying that requesting community input is a bad thing. It's just good to maintain a healthy skepticism.
Define competitively? TACs and Hidden Missiles are a blight at any level of play, online or offline. Hidden Missiles is probably even more of a frustration at lower levels of play. Why do people complain about lack of balance updates for a game they don't even play competitively?

Because Hsienko is complete ass, compared to most other characters in the game. Why do people complain about lack of balance updates for a game they don't even play competitively?
TAC's are just too much reward for too little risk, especially with the ability to gain a meter or take one from your opponent.Define competitively? The split for internet activity:Why do you complain about the Fighting Game Weekly threads while still posting in them?
She plays the way she does because NeoG and Niitsuma wanted it that way. No point in asking for buffs.Because Hsienko is complete ass, compared to most other characters in the game.
Contrary to what you seem to have inferred from the post you quoted, that actually was an earnest question. I'm genuinely interested in what people would look forward to in something that, from my point of view, doesn't seem to affect them at all.Why do you complain about the Fighting Game Weekly threads while still posting in them?
But they put so much effort into making the DMC characters fairly accurate to their games and good characters. She plays the way she does because NeoG and Niitsuma wanted it that way. No point in asking for buffs.
Well, I'd have to assume it's because even people who only play the game casually can identify bullshit when they experience it and it can make the game less fun for them.Contrary to what you seem to have inferred from the post you quoted, that actually was an earnest question. I could see things like TAC infinites being fixed of course, but how many people in here even have to deal with stuff on that level in the first place? There's probably a half dozen of us tops who play in tournament.
They ain't ever gonna patch out Hsien-ko's rigor mortis.

There was that Capcom All-Stars rumor. It'll be interesting to see how Marvel does without well, Marvel.
