Everyone gets so mad when anyone wants bc I want bc too and your reply is somewhat silly to me. I don't know about your setup, but I don't have ROOM to keep every system when I buy the new one.

I dunno.

I'm just so attached to my PS3 that I couldn't imagine ditching it just to replace it with the PS4.

I'm of the mindset that if you can't afford something and have to sell something you enjoy to be able to get it, you likely shouldn't get it.

I get what you're saying, it's not exactly about cost with me tho. I have a 5x hdmi switcher inside my reciever and I physically cannot have both the 3 and 4 plugged in and won't be selling my three as I love to collect. Mostly I am just very surprised that I feel alone in my love and almost expectation of bc.

I'm with you there. I'm continually astounded at GAFs reaction of not giving a shit about BC. For me it's a major feature of a new console and it's a huge bummer PS4 won't have it.

I really want this on Vita, but I really don't want to have to pay $80 to get both. Ugh.

I'm guessing the vita versions will be $30 each. It's probable that they haven't announced Vita pricing details yet because they are still considering how to go about it, maybe some sort cross-buy or package discount.

I think it's possible X HD could do better numbers than GoW because it's much more popular in Japan than GoW is. It could probably even hit GoW's numbers just in Japan alone, over a very long period of time. We'll see. I wouldn't be terribly shocked either way.

Readers of Famitsu voted FFX the best game of all time in 2006. Considering that this is more than a simple port, I think it's certainly possible that it sells really well in Japan.

Anyway, really looking forward to this, as this is the only FF I've played where I actually enjoyed the battles, and yet I never got around to finishing it. From what I remember, I liked how each character had their own specialty, and each enemy had specific weaknesses. I also remember liking the sphere grid.

The only thing I'm worried about is actually having the time to play through an RPG. I don't want to end up abandoning the game again. If I don't indulge in side-quests, how long would it take to play through? If it's longer than 25 hours, I'll probably have to pass.

It's a good 40-50 hours for the main story. Get it for Vita. You can always pause it and pick it up when you have time.

Can't wait to win my avatarbet. I can smell my victory now.

If Kayos wins --> LuuKyK gets a I <3 Seymour avatar.

If LuuKyK wins --> Kayos gets a I <3 Chocolina avatar.

My suggestions.

god damn Lulu

Any chance for a (western) summer release?

It can make sense to put an HD collection in the Fall since it's a budget product, and thus good with budget conscious consumers.

But then it would be released too close to the Kingdom Hearts HD collection. They need to try to get X out in the summer or the winter. They need a bit of a gap between releases.

Readers of famitsu in no way represent Japan

I think Lulu is the worst Square character..ever. I would pick Quina over her. Easily my least used in any rpg ever. I think I even used the cat guy more than her because the story forced you to? I think? Point is she is utterly non-existant when it comes to my memory of playing that game. Did she have any significance at all to the story?

What? Lulu was awesome to use, and as a character, well, at least she had personality.

She just seemed like a pointless pair of breasts to me. Isn't she like a mute in the game? With a moogle doll? Just everything about her design seems pointless to me.

Lulu and Wakka are my favorite battle characters. Wakka seriously becomes just as strong if not stronger than Auron (on the non-expert grid anyway) with much better accuracy. Lulu's magic is amazing.

Lulu's role in the story is primarily to introduce Tidus (and the player) to the world. She's quite observant really.

Yuna's guardian, the character whom informs Tidus and the player of Spira's world, Wakka's love interest, etc... Great character design, useful black magic, and a great voice work.

I loved that you could make Tidus flirt with Lulu and she would eventually flirt back.

It never affected the story in anyway but nice it was included.

I get where you're coming from, my main set up is the same way. When the PS4 launches, my PS3 is moving into my bedroom (where I'm sure I could play an old PS3 game if I really wanted to).

Anyone know what the deal with the VAing will be? Any chance of an Asian version with Japanese audio and English text?
Based on the international version, I found this:

The first obvious change is the language. Unlike more recent international editions, FFX is bilingual; menu and speech text can be freely switched from English to Japanese at any time, though voices are stuck in English, which stinks if you were looking to hear the Japanese voices (they were pretty good but not that much better than the English, I think).
From here.

Damn, did Lulu really look that bad in the original? It's amazing how your memory can play tricks on you. This seems to be a very decent visual upgrade.

Yeah. All the people that say "looks like a PS2 game" for this generation do seem to have forgotten what the last generation looked like.

The only purpose these will serve is seeing the absolutely gorgeous Rikku in HD.
I've always been a Yuna fan. I loved the CG in this game.

I really hope these are cross-buy
I can't help but think this is wishful thinking. :(

I quite liked Lulu. She was like your mentor/guide to the world. And her magic was really useful early game.

However the less said about her standard attack and her battle celebration, the better.
