Yeah, it looks great before and after battles, but the graphics during gameplay are distractingly poor. It doesn't look much better than Tekken 6 for the PSP.

I don't know what magically version of psp Tekken 6 you played, but DOA5+ looks a hell of a lot better (even during battles).

Wait, what? The only time that the resolution take a hit is on training mode (don't know why, only 2 characters in a black background, but still).

Tekken 6 looks fine for a PSP game, but comparing both is just nonsense.

I tried them side-by-side the other night. Tekken 6 looks better on a PSP, but it looks great for a PSP game. DOA+ looks fantastic outside of battle, but the in-game models are rather unimpressive, which is exasperated by the excellent models in the game.

I disagree - the lack of anti-aliasing on Tekken 6 makes it a lot harder on the eyes (even on the PSP, let alone on the Vita's screen). But I see where you're coming from as far as geometry goes, though you should keep in mind that DOA5's arenas are multiple times larger than Tekken's and have much more going on. Some of it might also be that Tekken 6 has more vibrant colors because, unlike DOA5 (my biggest gripe with both the console and Vita version), the levels aren't 80% brown and grey.

We'll just have to agree that T6 on PSP is some freaking voodoo - shader effects aside, I'd argue it even bests Tekken 3D graphically. But put side by side with the best DOA5+ has to offer (the jungle stage for instance), it's clearly a generation behind.

It's never very inexpensive here in the US :( I want to buy it but I don't like tennis enough to get it at anything but a cheap price.
I don't care for tennis at all but I double dipped on both the PS3 and Vita versions, haha. I used to love Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast, though.

It's probably worth it for like $20. Given Sega's Vita support though, maybe it'll go on PS+ one day.

Also, XCOM port announced for iOS but not Vita? Damn, 2K. :(

Has anybody gotten NW-8942-3 error? I get it when trying to open the PSN store.

EDIT - solved it by restarting my router twice

Heh doubt Vita is on any list of them. Not even announced for Android heh.

nothing like getting ready to play P4G only to realize your Vita is in a coffin being shipped off to get fixed.

So, this is strange. My face buttons and d-pad don't seem to be working while I'm outside of a game. The touchscreen works just fine, but I can't use any buttons to navigate through the homescreens, any idea what might have happened?

*edit - I'm an idiot :)

You turned off that option? It's on settings > system

I appreciate Ubi's support for the Vita but I wish they'd port the Ghost Recon 3DS tactics game. Apparently the normal Ghost Recon is coming but I'm interested in the "little" game that seems really good.

Trying to work out if I should spend some $$$ to get another $50 spent before the current promotion runs out.
So far I've bought a $50 15 month PS+ sub, and $6.99 Dokuro sale.

I'm looking for potential suggestions to get me up to the next $50 tier, what are people's thoughts? (I've got P4 golden :P)

EDIT - Under consideration -

* Rocketbirds
* EDF 2017
* Nun Attack

Buy DOA5+ and spend a couple bucks on DLC to get over the hump.

I feel like we find out about a new Vita game almost every day.

Whether it's ports, indies or other games, I feel like the Vita finally is gaining some ground. I know some people don't want the Vita to turn into a port machine, but I'm glad that I get to finally try out some great PS2 games (I had a GC last gen).

With the Vita I finally got to play MGS 2 and 3 for the first time. I'm playing Persona 4 right now and I just can't put it down. We also just got a hint that Jak and Daxter might be coming to the Vita in the near future. I'm hoping we eventually get ZoE on the Vita as well. My friends raved about it but without a PS2, I never got the chance to try it.

But interestingly, the game I'm actually most excited for right now is Luftrausers. Not a fan of the art style but the gameplay looks great.

if you like P4G then maybe pick up one of the other Persona games if you haven't already. Toto would suggest P3P.

Sink some money into Pinball tables, FF games, TACTICS OGRE. Depends on your tastes.

a friend just reblogged a photo of for Game Informer trolling Vita(top 10 list..was empty list with #3 for the setting)..I mean this "Vita has no games" bullshit in a real magazine in 2013? really? that what people pay money for?

Yeah, it's the geometry. I'm really just talking about the character models, not the backgrounds. It's a rare case where I'd take 30 fps over 60 for the eye candy...because that's why I'm interested in DOA+. It should trade places with Wipeout 2048, then it would be perfect.

Edit: On an unrelated note - PS+ subs stack, correct? I have a 3-month sub right now, but I'm thinking I will use the $20 from Sony to get a 12 month sub for cheap.
