Understandable but you could choose to block only youtube or something along those lines. I reached a breaking point after being forced to watch a Blops 2 ad again and again.

I totally want to see Spring Breakers again! Much like how going to movies are for escaping your reality, this movie reflects that living for the moment feeling and you don't want to ever leave the cinema. I want to enter that dreamlike haze again.
Some people might think the ending is anticlimactic but I love that it totally subverts your expectations.
It's not for or against that kind of life. I love when a movie's unpredictable.
This'll be a great movie to talk to people with different reactions much like Drive which also divided some because it's an artsy take on a B-movie concept.

This is no moral lesson against spring breakers, thug life wannabes, or for living in the moment. Candy (Hudgens) and and Brit (Benson) escaping with no scratches is perfect even if preposterous, they are the actual thugs as shown in the blowjob silencer scene compared to Franco who was a wannabe. This is their goal, their new reality, they don't want to return to the mundane.

That's true, but if I'm not mistaken a lot of people are interested in having it because they want to use the play/pause features on their Blu-Ray disc players to freeze alluring images of the central characters. Correct me if I'm making a bad call on that one.

I'd wondered if this movie might make me appreciate Skrillex and vindicate dubstep for me (I'm generally ambivalent about him and dubstep) but there was way more Cliff Martinez than anything else, which was both nice and somewhat disappointing.

This is defiantly my favorite typo.
I mean, yeah. There are hot parts. I'd almost call the "real Spring Break" pieces, that are just patient shots of actual people on the beach with beer bongs, tits, twerking, all that, a refrain. You see this same thing happen over and over. And it's kinda hot at first, but what happens in between each chorus/refrain and the compounding effect of the repetition gradually makes everything more of a hazy experience in between a dream and a nightmare.
As for each "verse" (might as well run with the song metaphor for the structure of the film) with the five main characters: yeah, all four girls are pretty attractive. and yeah, there are hot scenes. There are two in particular that are, I think, supposed to be alluring in their all-encompassing debauchery. But there are naturally weird, jarring moments or shots that make you question being sucked in. First one I can think of is actually near the beginning,
as the girls dance in the dorm hallway. And they're all pretty and it seems frivolous, but then there's a high angle slow-motion shot where they're on their backs basically...acting like babies. And suddenly I'd moved from a sort of hypnotic "this is a little hot, and?" state to "wait, is this about infantilization and ______".

Yeah, I (briefly) went to Panama City, FL a few years ago for spring break and he captured it pretty remarkably. I wonder if people are turned off by because it's so realistically poking fun how idiotic it all is and this generation in general.

I saw it tonight and loved it and can't stop thinking about it. James Franco stole the movie. I thought I was going to hate him in it but he was incredible, equal parts menacing and ridiculous. This was definitely Korine's best movie to date (and I like most of his films).
i thought the way they had 'spring break' depicted in like a theological sense was amazing too. seems ridiculous but at the same time it is very true, like at the age 18-19, you are looking for freedom and to grow but all you really do is get get fucked up.
