Lightning "worship" is all astroturfed by Squenix though. People genuinely remember and love FFX's characters.

Edit: No seriously, how can you lose with Jecht Shot? Score once and hide behind your own goal.
A lot of people don't know that hiding behind your own goal breaks the opposing team AI. It's how you win most Blitzball matches in the early going until your team is strong enough to win on it's own.

I just swam around like a loon and passed the ball whenever more than one person came to close. Early game is easy if you recruit Wedge who starts with a shot power of 18 or something (or is it Biggs?). And if you decide to wait, Brother breaks the game.

Yeah i used him as well. Just forgot his name lol. He's the one on the bench in Luca right? You can get Kyou pretty early just after the Sin battle at Djose, although his position isn't as vital
Every new generation of FF fans is the worst generation, MY generation is the normal one.

I really enjoyed X and found it to be an emotional story. X2 on the other hand was even more fun to play, loved the costume switching (Yuna lady luck) but the story for me at least was somewhat forgettable. As in I really cannot remember how it ends....All I can remember is mascot, beserker, and death knight and some big boss fights. Should be great running through it again, I may even play it first than go back to X.
But isn't Lightning the first female lead in the series?

Brother & Wakka make Blitzball way too easy. Still fun though.
Whenever I think of story for FFX-2, I always will recall first this scene. (Oddly enough, while this scene is pretty important, I think it's completely skippable.)

I'm picturing my Vita with FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-II all on the same page...there isn't a memory card Sony can create that will be big enough for that unless it's a separate card...which is dumb unless you enjoy playing multiple rpgs at a time.
I bought X-II but never played it, X was my last one and I loved that too (although less near the end but before the ending). Looking forward to finally getting around to it on Vita but I hope they don't change too much with these new versions.

I think that goes to Terra from FFVI, although it's debatable if it's her or Celes. Either way it's the first.

Don't care what he says, he's just defending his waifu. Terra/Celes are the best females leads, no doubt about it.
Pretty much what I was getting at. How he comes up with a comment like that is just wrong, especially considering he directed X-2.
It's weird in that I really like Terra, but I hate how they portrayed her in Dissidia.

This. Assuming you are of the original generation (or at least the 2nd), then you may even be correct in your declaration of being in the normal one.

I'd give it to VIII or VI myself, but I digress. They're pretty much all fantastic. Heck I think VII is one of the weaker ones (By weak I mean not as good), but it's probably my favourite game in the series

I've always felt X had the best songs, but VI was a little bit stronger overall. Both are incredible to me, especially when done via orchestra or at least piano.
Would love to be able to mod some of the better arrangements like the distant worlds versions into the game.
Hmm, for all the crap XIII gets, Hamazu knocked the OST outta the park. I actually feel that X's OST is one of the weaker ones, even if it does have some amazing standout tracks (And I can never get the battle theme out of my head).

Boyfriend and I were recently talking about this, actually. He gave the FFX OST a full listen the other day and commented that it didn't age very well.
And to that point, I kind of agree? There are a lot of great standout tracks on there (especially the Hamauzu ones), but there are quite a few tracks that I don't really find myself caring for at all (and it was like that when the game first came out as well; I remember not liking Disc 2 or 3 of the soundtrack outside of a few tunes). Granted, a lot of game soundtracks are like that: best stuff on Disc 1 and 4. Not a lot of great stuff on discs 2 and 3.
There aren't a lot of cohesive FF soundtracks out there, but if I had to choose one of them that falls into that category, perhaps FFVI would be it. FFXIII-2's soundtrack needs a year or two of post-listening for proper evaluation.

Ugh, Final Fantasy sucks now, it's gone downhill since FF2nes. Firion = Best protagonist, he was way better than Tidus or Balthier.
Celes is my wafer and everyone who disagrees is weird.
Dissidia gets her pretty accurate, right down to the dialogue. But this is pretty common for older non-voiced FFs; people find it jarring when their imagined characterization is countered with a real life actor/voice/body language.
Every single one is the worst, that's the point. No one's any better than any other, but that doesn't stop people from declaring their lists like they're gospel.
It's just my perception, certainly may not be. I just don't see it brought up often.
I also like the more rhythmic pieces like Those Who Come Closer and Time of Judgement I had to look this one up as I forgot what it was called.)

Even though I found Blitzball very easy back in the day, this will come in quite handy. I'll just score one and then go do something else for 5 minutes (or is it 3?). Saves on the wasting time part

Didn't think about that. Damn. The glitch for the No Encounter weapon would be the bigger loss if they were removed though. Not that it was hard to get via normal means, just less of a hassle.
Wouldn't bother me. I've already resigned myself to no platinum as it is. People going for 100% have bigger things to worry about
