This is supposed to run on a ps3? Fuck off Kojima.
The full trailer they showed in the beginning, looked different than the vga. I think everything showed today was actually running console specs. Which is pretty amazing, makes you wonder what they will do next gen. I don't think kojima has programmed anything for ps4 as of yet. Don't see any dx11 like effects during the trailer either.
As far as I saw, they didn't talk about voxels. And that's why I want to know how/if they have taken that into account. It's becoming more and more relevant though especially sparse voxel octree technology is still rather expensive.Wat? I doubt they're bothering with voxels, was it mentioned?

It's stream quality. Hopefully the high quality version is online soon.
Thanks. I missed the first 30 minutes or so of the live stream.
For anybody else the twitch video starts at about 22 minutes.
Kojima had that mask on in the beginning of the GDC presentation.
Given what I've seen in Uncharted 3 I wouldn't call it impossible but the scale makes me have doubts. Something tells me this is a cross generational engine that will now be built upon as the years go by. I really doubt it'll run on PS3 like it was shown in the trailer given it was running on PC today, as well.
No questions are off limits for my Kojima interview, which will be a full hour on MGS5, Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes. Send your Qs.

Seriously, looks like what we've seen of next-gen so far. This is a weird phase right now. This is supposed to run on a ps3? Fuck off Kojima.
Thaaaanks.
EDIT: That sprint animation is godly.
Hair still looks different to me even with lighting difference (unless there's an issue with the engine) However, I am a probably just mesmerized by the water dripping off the face in the top image.
What was the address for LA?
During cutscenes games like Beyond or TLOU look almost as good as this. During gameplay Fox Engine scales down massively, as we have already seen in the first trailer. It still looks good, but the clothing effects for example are completely gone during gameplay.Considering it's an open world and with a seamless day/night cycle, i don't see it running on ps360 at that quality.
I'd love for them to prove me wrong though.
Either way, hopefully it'll ship on PC, too.
I really hope for the love of god that Snake isn't Troy Baker. Please don't be him :/That song makes the trailer the worst thing
complete shit.
I'm bored
Wow, the Fox engine is more impressive than I thought. The lighting & shading capabilities of this engine mops the floor with pretty much every hyped engine out there - including the recently revealed Frost Bite 3 powering Battlefield 4. They really studied their sh!t extensively.
Up until FoxEngine, all those other studios boast of their engines' ability to create realistic materials, lighting, and/or photorealism, but none of them really begin to approach what Konami is doing here. I'm sure other engines out there will be able to do certain things equally well or better - like physics/realtime destruction, partical effects - but as far as lighting & shading goes, it seems like Konami just 1-Uped everyone else. Truly impressive stuff!
This is amazing
?Something is seriously wrong with the wind in this gif.
It's blowing in two different directions. See the flag? And the windsock?
:lol thanks, I actually meant their email to send a CV/portfolio to xD
