I don't like watching Tekken or Capcom for that matter, but that isn't the problem at all. Tekken could go all night for all I care, and probably will.
It doesn't stop another stream showing Capcom if they got it done in time or started earlier.
I don't have a problem with them running Tekken however they want; anyone suggesting that Marvel (or any game) should take away from a game's allotted time is being ridiculous. But it's a fair complaint that poor scheduling cost a ton of exciting maches that should have been streamed, combined with the fact that there's apparently at least 4 separate streams there which in theory could have been used. As posted above, there's been a pretty much constant Marvel 2 stream going all weekend, how did they not use one of the other down streams to make up the scheduling gap?

Probably not, but they could use the multiple other streams that are there that are literally not in use to cover it. I mean in theory this wouldn't have happened if CM had run properly yesterday, but for whatever reason it didn't. All I'm saying is that since either Marvel or AE was going to get screwed tonight, you'd think they'd hit up one of the streamers not running anything to cover it.

this is one of the biggest tourneys in the world for tekken, and atl is the tekken mecca in USA, so of course its gonna get a lot of time

Marvel has 1 round though. Tekken is 3 out of 5 rounds with 3 out of 5 games. A set of Marvel finishes faster than any game out there.
And the same reason why Marvel has 3/5 as Tekken is because that's what the community demanded. People don't like games decided in 2-3 combos so they upped the number of games. Of course the Tekken rule was a remnant of the previous Tekken games where it was 1v1.

Marvel is 3/5 because it's a single round. Tekken is 3/5 matches of 3/5 rounds. A full marvel set is faster than a single match of Tekken. These Tekken matches are running a half hour plus at times.
Watching Marvel is shitty if you find Marvel boring.
Tekken takes longer than VF though. I could see Tekken going 2/3, it's not a TOD game like Marvel/pre-patch Skullgirls.

Marvel has 3 characters though. And, VF5 sets are faster than marvel on the whole.
And I'm enjoying FR. Every game has had stream time which is fair, aside from Melty Blood not getting any, I think.

I'm just speaking in general. I seem to recall a recent past tournament when Tekken fans didn't get to see much of their game until the top 8 on the Sunday. When they complained, didn't people just say to suck it up? Say what you will about Tekken. It's boring to watch, it takes too long (and I agree, it does take pretty long, but that's just how it is). But it still has a scene, and to see Tekken get the most stream time for once out of most majors this year isn't going to kill anyone. It's pretty annoying to see all the bitching about Marvel. You'll probably catch recordings from Sabin. Just let the Tekken scene enjoy their stream time for once.

Unless SF4 is also barely watchable too. In which case I couldn't even categorize the rest of the games there, but I'd rather not be deconstructive by doing so.
Also you probably don't want to go into the 3/5 thing after how that argument went last time it was brought up.
But the question is "Why would you want this?" This is like 4/7 Marvel- it just makes things nightmarish.
3/5 Marvel is not comparable to 3/5 Tekken because 2/3 Tekken already takes the longest amount of time of any current tournament game.
VSav sets too, as proven by the Exhibition finishing very early.

3 characters who die in 1 or 2 combos... sometimes 2 characters die in 1 combo. Plus X factor. The number of times you have to land a hit on Marvel to finish the game is equivalent to many 1v1 fighters.
That doesn't prove anything. The CM exhibition is a terrible example of how Marvel matches actually run. The matches took way less time than the down time between players switching and button checking. Plus a shit ton of breaks in between each team match. It was a poorly scheduled event.

If anything I think Capcom should be played as 1 game like the 5v5 tournament. Ever since this 3/5 nonsense started watching it has gone down hill as it is too boring and predictable. The randomness should be embraced.

I'd much rather have had top 32 to top 8 in Marvel rather than pools, though I get why we couldn't have both.
They did not meet their schedule. They fucked marvel over. While they used it as the main attraction in their trailer.

Marvel was scheduled to be streamed a certain amount and they fucked it up. Marvel had the most sign ups at Final Round (and already the most viewers) so it's not like it is the king dick without proper reason. If these other fighters feel like they are getting overshadowed by Marvel support your community raise money and help streamers from that community stream the games.

It's what the players want that signed up and play, which I think is the most important thing, and luckily for the tekken guys, larry was able to accommodate them.
Makes sense as ATL/FR has tekken legacy.

It's the same reason as Marvel- volatile damage. And it actually makes sense with how the normal 1v1 matches play. But TTT2 is not showing the same volatility.
