Short of capcom nerfing morridoom that isn't gonna happen. There was some tech flying around last year but chris fought through and overcame it.

There are whole anti-Morrigan/Doom teams out there that are competitively viable, but the USA would have to get out of its regular Magneto/Hidden Missiles crap.
Champ showed that Neo should have done, though. You TK Overdrive through assists with Phoenix, always.

The tech exists, but it involves teams that no one wants to use - and even when people use the individual characters that can give that shell team trouble, ChrisG stomps them through sheer skill.

Doesn't matter which side you tech. He thought Chris wouldn't go for it and Chris called his bluff. There was some serious next-leveling going on with that TAC.
He did not picked his team, HE KNOWS Phoenix is not as viable as before, especially against Morrigan

It's all out there, but no one has the combination of tech and fundamentals to do it. Yipes would almost have it but damn if he doesn't choke harder than a car in the Andes sometimes.

The biggest one is Captain America / Iron Man / Sentinel.
Sentinel can be replaced with something else. Charging Star + Unibeam is safe and plows through Soul Fist waves while leading to full combos. No Hidden Missile calls ever. It's a good plan.

It's a good plan against Morrigan if the player can only pull off soulfist spam. However given the way Chris can play Morrgian rush-down I have a hard time imagining Capt or Iron Man could keep up with her.
