Absolutely. The way you beat Morrigan is by never letting her establish herself. This is like the Wolverine matchup on crack.
I just threw Sentinel in there. Make it Captain America/Iron Man/Strider or Vergil, or whatever. I'm not set on a third as the best choice. It's not about Morrigan getting hit, it's about her never being able to call Hidden Missiles, and messing up her inputs. The real value of Hidden Missiles is that Morrigan doesn't have to worry about execution errors from crossunders. Even ChrisG suffers from that all the time when Doom dies.

Everyone who wants to seriously play this game from now forward needs to build one team that has a guaranteed counter to one aspect of Morrigan/Doom/X. THIS is the barometer of the current metagame period. Everyone also has to PICK SOME FUCKING ANTI AIRS, GODDAMN.
This community is lazy as fuck. If MVC2 developed into what it was at the end of its life from what it was at the start, where is the innovation here? We can't dickride Vergil/Doom/Zero/Wesker tried and trues anymore. People have to catch up to Chris G who's working on two years of experience with what was once boutique. People need to put time into the technical or create some new botique pairings.
In closing: Moons had the single best performance overall versus this.
It's still hype to me honestly. The thing that kills the hype is no innovation from the challengers. Just the same horizontal-teleport, RTSD HARDER SON bull and nothing to challenge her mobility and safety in the air.

Hahaha.... Captain America does not have godly rushdown that he can stay on Morrigan after the first 5 seconds or after IM is on cooldown.
Never letting Morrigan "establish" herself is a poor answer to her strategy. 9/10 she will establish her game, if there is no answer to her while she has established her game outside of hailmary options there is a big problem. Even Wolverine vs Morrigan is a gamble that is not in favor of Wolverine thanks to Missiles cluttering up hit confirms.
Yolo strategies will not always work. They aren't solid or reliable that's why they are yolo strategies.
