Well, it's supposed to be a Metroidvania style game, which are pretty fun.

I found 12 unplayable. I usually pitch with meter so its a huge improvement for me. I haven't noticed any hickups while hitting or pitching yet in RTTS. Controls also feel more responsive than last year. I think there was input lag last year? If you are ok with 12, waiting for 2014 might not be a bad idea.
Didn't do all the side quests. Spoiler Alert Toto, the current speed run score is 55min.

I'm having issues connecting to PSN, and I figured I'd see if yall might be able to help before I post a new thread. I just bought a Vita, installed the 2.06 firmware update, and am trying to connect to the PSN store... But it won't let me. I'm connected to wifi, and I have the correct log-in info. I restarted the Vita a few times, too, but no luck.
Anything else I should try? Thanks!

Are you in the EU? Seems to be some issues lately with the Vita Store (PSN in general is fine) over the last couple weeks. Sometimes I can't on for days at a time, other times it's absolutely fine. Restarts (Vita/router) don't appear to do anything either, and settings are all fine.
Loving it so far! And Chie's voice is same as the anime one. Thank GOD!
The game is not native res and has a bit of jaggies. But it was pleasent to see real shadows. Game looks good and colors really pop.
This makes me excited for the next persona. Imagine open world persona 5.

Finally closed my P4G app the first time after like 3 weeks to try Nun Attack. Pretty fun game. Reminds me of the awesome mobile game Battleheart. Good distraction, but time to go back to P4G.
That's exactly what I was going through earlier. Could connect to everything but the PSN store. (Kept getting an error message.) I restarted my Vita twice (first time didn't do anything) and somehow that fixed it. What error message are you getting?

Are you stuck on the username/password page? Try tapping on the ok button instead of pressing enter on the virtual keyboard.
you're supposed to hit cancel/do it at a different time. THEN after the intro movie and all that crap has passed go to the store and try to log in. Its an issue Vita has had since it shipped.

Had this problem a few days ago after switching accounts. Turning the system off(not standby) and on again sorted it out.
I feel like this is an invalid complaint. A new movie in theaters costs me $10, $15+ if Imax/3D. Anyone that has played a metroidvania game and focused only on the story should be able to beat any of the metroids on GBA or Castlevania's on GBA/DS in about 4-6 hours. Also, this is an indie studio, not Nintendo or Konami. Those games were all double the cost at launch or more. Hell, Heavenly Sword was 4-6 hours and people considered it a good game at $60.
Everything that I've read and heard about Guacamelee so far has been positive. I don't think that your problem is that you aren't willing to be at all positive about games (I've seen you praise and recommend many games), your problem is that you find one slight or perceived weakness and latch onto it like a GD tapeworm or homing missile (Texture Sacrifice, anyone?). It gets exhausting reading your posts.
Lol, I'm the same. Nothing but P4G lately. Occasionally I download a demo or whatever's new on PS+ but I do little more than installing, watching the intro and then straight back to P4G.
My backlog is building but it feels so good.

If there is something I learned listening to Bombcast is they (specially Jeff) can be really jaded. I often see myself enjoying the podcast mostly when they are talking crazy about random shit and not about actual videogames.

you guys really need to learn to utilize the ignore member function on gaf with toto. Its done wonders for our relationship... Also you still get to see his best/worst comments because people cant stop falling for his negative talk and quote him... Hes like a mini troll - im surprised he hasnt sold his vita like he said he would... His positivity is rare and whether he means what he says on here or not he does it to get a rise. I imagine its his sick idea of popularity. Its a constant cycle. Old thread memebers end up getting so tired of his talk they ignore him, new thread members latch on and fall for it. I think its time you try ignoring him. You always have the option to see his hidden post if youre that intrigued.
Also, good morning gaf from nyc. I love my vita and she loves me. Crowns havent been too too bad in hot shots golf so far.

Giant bomb during game droughts is the funniest giant bomb. Its there random talk I love so much.
I also don't care if people trash games I really like. They are perfectly allowed to. Its when they just throw out one line and thats it. As if they cant even be bothered to explain there thoughts on a game despite it kinda being there job lol. Just don't mention it if you arn't going to put any thought into it at all.
I am going to assume he means that its missing a few effects. But yes, it looks really crisp for the most part. Odd dodgy texture here and there (character models look fantastic though) but thats about it really.

Just picked up Oddworld and Virtual Tennis... and got Disgaea from plus.
Just got to chapter 3 in RO. That and Dungeon Hunter Alliance rounds of what I'm playing right now.
At least I can say I pretty much own every via game that I want that's out, in America, now.
I own way too many Vita games, but at least I also play them, which is more than I can say about my Steam library (which is now uninstalled, never to be used again).
The two games that I keep pushing back are Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus and Rayman Origins (I'm also hoping to Platinum Disgaea 3 some day...). Haven't completed either. I'm going to try to finish NGS+ before I start Totori in earnest. Everything will get tossed aside for Soul Sacrifice at the end of the month though.

Is $160 for a used Vita and a 16gb card a good deal? Craigslist.
I would think so. But I guess it depends on the condition and that it has everything with it, e.g. charger, ac cord, AR cards, etc.
Is it a WiFi or 3G model? Not that it makes much difference. I have a 3G model but have never used the 3G support. I got it "just in case" I decided it may be useful in the future. Also, I heard that the 3G model had better support for GPS and that there may be some games that require it though I haven't seen any.
