Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | April 2013 | Sacrifice your Independent Soul

MH no. Every other game yes. I remember when the Monster Hunter on the PS2 had online. It was actually amazing. Sigh =\.

in general this sad genre need to move on from 2004 and be more modern(not talking just about MH alone since the other clones copy the outdated stuff and flaws from it too).

I know it lets me sign into my PS3 and Vita at the same time. I usually play the Vita as I halfway watch something on Netflix. If it allows two Vitas to be registered to the same account, I don't see why it wouldn't let both be signed in at the same time. Otherwise, what's the purpose?

Maybe this lack of focus explains why I start so many games I don't finish.....hmmm.

I get watching something like a boring football match (UEFA CL is not good this year) while playing Vita I do that sometimes, but movies..I don't think I'll able to do that.

Wait, what. That works? Only downside is the shared trophy/friends list, right?

Yep and I think things could get messy with PS+ if you have both Vitas set to autoupload. Since it's just me and my wife it works great. She has her Mortal Kombat/Pinball Arcade/Tokyo Jungle machine and I use the other one for the rest of the games. It works great for me since I used her machine to try out demos since my MC is full.

Finished Persona 4, what a fantastic game, one of the best JRPG's out there without any question.

Now I'm ready for new game+, please GAF infuse me with all your knowledge, what should I know? Are there any missables or new stuff I can do now?

I started playing LBP Vita yesterday and man it is GOOD. I liked the PS3 ones, but never played them that much. The series feels perfect on the Vita.

How long did it take you to finish P4?

Did you get the true ending in cycle 1? There's an optional boss on NG+ if you did.

..

so yea it's short but it is also a metroidvania so replayability/replay value is king here.

also free dlc, some extra modes in a patch or something and maybe new characters can help too.

Ah that's too bad. Hope it's replayable because that's pretty darn short for a $15 PSN game.

I paid about that for journey and that was 4 of the most beautiful, emotional, glorious hours of gaming in my life.

Not saying guacamelee will be the same but judging value before having played the game is unfair

well someone need to ask them on twitter.

a spinoff/prequel of SR1/2 (like GTA stories) will be nice and wont cost them much.

since it's very short according to kassatsu I hope it has much replayability (not all MetroidVania games got that right) and modes and secrets.

free DLC will be welcomed too.

MBA was also pretty shot for me but I don't think I'll mind. But yes, if the game does well I do hope they get some dlc going ala Escape Plan. That game has so much content if you include all the dlc they released for it.

And ragnarok odyssey is platinumed. 71 hours. Was fun I liked it.

Don't tell me this. I've been wanting to get the mercenary edition for some reason. I don't know why since Soul Sacrifice is almost here. I was going to get it day one but it got pushed to September and I was out of the country.

iirc in an interview/podcast(was that kassatsu site?) they said that they are already planning dlcs.

I didn't like the PS3 games at all, the jump mechanics really really suck. The grappling hook levels in the Vita game however have made this a non-issue.

Took me almost exactly 10hrs to 100% my normal playthrough of Guacamelee. Still need to beat it on hard, then platinum is mine.

Can the trophies be synced like in Sound Shapes? This sounds like a perfect amount of content for a $15 game and the fact it has a platinum makes it more so.

So I finally got used to playing on pad (4 buttons + shoulder) on SFxT Vita. I put 3K and 3P on the right side of the touch screen and was able to complete the Trials okay with Ibuki.

SFxT is just not the kind of game to put on a handheld. I'm impressed with the Vita's controls but this game doesn't work without co-op or multiplayer, and being on a handheld, with horrible net-code (something's wrong with Capcom games on PSN) it's basically Training Mode.

The NG games and Wipeout should be arriving tomorrow.

I kinda wish someone had Gravity Rush on an advert or at HMV to play, I can't believe it took me this long to get this beautiful machine. =)

Kinda interested. What's it's framerate like? All Stars Transformed was a bit too inconsistent in its demo.

The Gravity Rush game that's shown in stores is the exact same demo that you can download yourself from the PS Store. I recommend getting PS+.

Well I frequently went into HMV since last year and only really saw the 3DS and XL, and whenever there was a Vita it was either off or playing a demo (video).

I already have the game, I was just saying I would have bought the machine long ago if I had managed to play it.

YES finally got my DOA5+, 2 weeks after order, Amazon you never been so late!

Anyway, just cleared Arcade with Ayane on the difficulty above hard, don't know what it was called. My right hand hurts so much. -_-

Oh I agree. Its just that that is similar in length to Mutant Blobs Attack, which was $7.99. This does seem to have more depth, but I don't know if that extra depth while still being similar length warrants double the price.

REGARDLESS, its a day one purchase for me. I was just hoping it was a bit longer.

Ugh. I didn't want to dive in, but I might. I'm constantly either visiting my girlfriend, on a bus, or between classes waiting. The Vita seems like it would be perfect. I had a 3DS, but no trophies and my hand getting really cramped playing it really sealed the deal for me to sell it.

I never owned a PSP either, and love jRPGs. Are there any deals/sales/whatever coming up soon? If not, where should I grab one?

no deals or sales coming up. best bet is to check craigslist. maybe people have gotten great deals from there. I never had a ps1 or psp so it's awesome playing/replaying through those libraries. the vita is pretty awesome, don't be hesitant about it. everyone who gets it here loves it and is impressed with the hardware alone.

Needs more stickers.

Guys, should I just get the Asian version of Muramasa? It says here the subtitles are in English.

Depends what's included with the preorder bonus, and how guilty you'd feel for not supporting US localizations.

But really I'd only import if you're a die-hard Muramasa fan who cannot wait. Seems silly to import a game shortly coming over.

It's always been good for me, although it does dip sometimes but it's never too bad. It's such an awesome game/experience, open world racing and lots of stuff to do. It's one of my favorite Vita games.

Outrun 2006 isn't on the PSN store? But it was so good on PSP and I wanted to play it on my Vita.

I thought Sega loved us. :(

SEGA don't even like itself.

Outrun Arcade (which is based on OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast) got removed from PSN and XBLA permanently due to license issues,so yeah you wont see that ever again. :(

on a similar case Brave Story: New Traveler (fantastic PSP game) got removed from PSN because Sony/Xseed didn't renew the license.

this is the DD future....

Pretty sure it was the car license, not the songs.

thanks for the info and the correction.

and it's really not big issue if SEGA and Sumo were competent, just open up the source code again and remove the logos and change the cars look a little, people enjoy Outrun for the driving not just because of the Ferraris.

I actually am working on my PSP collection now. We have two shops here that have a pretty amazing, revolving collection of used PSP. I'm torn because some of the games, I want to buy digitally for dat Vita filtering, OLED, and control setting. On the other end, I like physical games and am slowly turning into a game hoarder.
