RR gets his ass kicked by Soul Fist because he comes out in front. It clearly won't be Frank West, Nemesis, or Wright, because two of those have no chance against Morrigan, and no Frank West team would have problems vs. melee.

Ghost Rider is lols.
X-23 wouldn't have problems with melee teams.
Iron Fist wouldn't have problems with melee teams.

If this is real it will change the game completely. Because then there will be a rock paper scissor counter match up dynamic in the game.

MorriDoom > Rushdown/Melee teams > Anti-MorriDoom team > MorriDoom

Great post, and I agree Deadpool can be a good counter, AA projectiles can be an answer

Yeah so the team I came up with is Dorm/Thor/Doom. Morrigan doesn't have to go in in lots of matchups, but she DOES against Dorm/Doom or else Dorm/Doom will get spells set up, missiles/beams called, chaotic flame snipes going, toward+h/assist plus teleport happening, etc etc. It's a very dangerous team if Morrigan stays away, which is why Chris originally thought it beat Morridoom. But when he started going in instead, he started beating it.

So you have a team that forces Morridoom to go in and an alpha counter that punishes it for going in. And a character in Thor that works very well with Dorm/Doom and who fights Morrigan better than most (although I still don't think he wins). Sounds pretty good to me, I know that's what I'd be trying if I were still competing.

And yeah I'm sure FChamp knows this, he just hasn't been able to take advantage of it.

This is a solid team. FChamp was talking about how Dorm sucks at the start against Morrigan because Morrigan can be in his face and rush him down but having a Thor back up means he will have to stay away and Dorm can start his game.

But again, it will get wrecked by Wolverine but at least it can do good against the first two characters. If Dorm kills both Morrigan/Doom then he can easily alpha counter into Thor and blow up Vergil so it's possible.

He's not a great counter because his projectiles don't have enough durability. He can absorb like one fireball but that's it. Deadpool plus Strider... maybe because he can mix up Morrigan while under her and have Vajra clip her from the top then he can OTG into a combo.

To be fair, Dieminion's team likely uses at least one character he already knows, maybe two. And Morrigan is one of the hardest characters in the game to play. I doubt Dieminion is picking up C. Viper or Chun-li to counter her.

Maybe, but I remember Dieminion wanting to drop his old team entirely for a long time. But I'm thinking Strange will be that character to stay.

Chris G doesn't enter the Zoned Out tournaments, kinda like Yipes and Curleh. In the first few Salty Battles Monthlies, the incentive to come was the chance to get in casuals with Chris G before the tournament, which is a pretty good incentive IMO.

I think it'd be cool if the winner of Zoned Out/Curleh got to play the host in a FT5 for a pot bonus.

I'm completely serious. FFVIII has an atrocious combat system and has a plot worse than what I could shit out on any given Sunday. I might be generous and put FFXII as the worst Final Fantasy, because FFVIII at least had characters, even if most of them were awful.
