I know about indie and PSN only games but I'm talking about retail here.

Tearaway is one of the best looking games on Vita with absolutely glorious native resolution image quality, and top notch lighting and self-shadowing on EVERYTHING. Ugh.

That may be their excuse but i have little doubts even if the vita had moved 200 million units already (yes that is a stupid high number) that namco still wouldn't bring the handheld tales game over... the only reason abyss came over for the 3ds is because they had a full localization to copy and paste.

If those Tales remakes didn't look so half-assed I'd beg Sony to localize them. If Nintendo can do that for random Koei game 28, Sony can do that for Tales.

Looking at various coming soon lists they are all bullshit in regards to vita. There are lots of smaller psn only games coming that don't get any recognition on lists like that but are exactly what I want. Downloadable so they are always on hand and with gameplay that works on a portable.

Hotline Miami is a good example of this, so is BOI, terraria, fez, bit trip runner, and many more

I'm well aware of most of the indie games coming out and own and have played all of those games on other platforms. Hotline Miami, Fez, Terraria all got a ton of press on most sites and blogs, big and small on release. I want smaller games too but it's gotta be something original to make any kind of impact on a site that focuses on new releases on a week to week basis.

I got Darkstalkers 3 though. Never played a DS game so this should be fun.

tl;dr ver.

Sigma (1) Plus is pretty much a direct port of Sigma (PS3) running at a constant 30fps. No more, no less. Now has enhancements, which are carried across difficulties and make the game easier overall.

Sigma 2 Plus runs very bad. It feels like it needs a patch. I runs about half as bad as other NG2 version, which were all terrible for framerate to begin with. It has dynamic resolution shifting which means occasionally it looks very pixelated as if it were an old mobile game. Finally, difficulty appears to be adjusted to be easier than Sigma 2 (PS3).
Both games' cutscenes are now FMVs so there's inconsistency when you change from the original costume.

I hope Sigma will be PS+ freebie in EU. I own the PS3 version but I didn't get too far and I'd rather play it on my Vita like with everything else (and of course dem trophies).

Samurai & Dragons has a city building aspect, though it apparently has a fair bit of free to play "pay or wait for energy to recharge". It's not been announced for western release, but I believe there was an English language release in some parts of Asia.

Hope you partner is aggressive and decent.
Play run away and keep attacking.
Make sure you get at least 1 kill.
If an opponent is getting too much meter, try to sneak in and throw them. You don't want a level 3 to eff you up at the end.

Yeah I think it's just a shame that no one has really tried to get into that type of genre, at least not globally... It'll probably be easier to just make a PSM city builder/sim instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
