Makes it look like a more advanced genetic experiment imo. Though sausage fingers are a staple of Mewtwo's design anyway lol.

Mewtwo's always had odd fingers but he's never had full on kielbasa sticking out of round hand stumps.

I don't particularly think the new design looks like anything. Mewtwo looks like what he's intended to be--a sin against nature, a genetic experiment gone awry. This new one looks at best alien like.

I don't care for the design at all.

Nobody ever makes the argument that every single one of a previous gen's Pokemon are better. Just that, on average, they're better in prior ones. So yeah kinda a strawman.

I'll take the 80% of Gen 1's designs that are decent/coherent over the 30% that comprise the last two gens.

I'd like actual statistics for that claim, because I completely disagree. And I think Gen 3 had some of the best designs ever personally.

You want me to break down personal preference in statistics? I went through a list of Pokemon designs from each gen that I found aesthetically pleasing. It's probably something like Gen 1 80%, Gen 2 70%, Gen 3 50%, Gen 4 30%, and Gen 5 25%.

I disagree. I think early gens are mostly just "you get what you see" designs which lack thought.
