I'd probably get in trouble if I said how I felt.
Toodles Thatcher.
This.
Naive question here, what don't people like about her?
Unlikely. She was way too decisive, not like Churchill who was universally loved.
I admire her balls. Whether you agreed or disagreed with her views, she was an inspirational figure. I don't think there is another British politician who is as equally adored and hated.

dunno, helping Pinochet - just to throw a random example - isn't exactly what suits a nice lady, is it?

She'll be laughing with Reagan at Kim Jong-un.
Her policies hurt a lot of people, i'd assume here in Scotland no one will give much of a crap while in the South of England her passing will be treated like the pope dying.

Drink will be flowing on the Falls road tonight.
For most it'll be the brutal destruction of industry in the North that shattered communities and left families destitute.
For me it is:
1. Making us one of the only Western governments not to condemn African apartheid, not to mention labelling Nelson Mandela a terrorist.
2. Her proposed Clause 28 that would have banned mention of homosexuality in schools. Had the unintended consequence of uniting all the gay rights groups.
Also noteworthy for proposing a Poll Tax that triggered riots in London.
As a northerner I'm supposed to be celebrating apparently? That's clearly what my Facebook would lead me to believe right now anyway.
Honestly I just don't know enough about her other than shutting down the mines.
There'll be parties in the streets everywhere up North.
The Feminists will talk her up with her "Iron Lady" title, but alas, when it comes to being a terrible leader on many levels, gender has nothing to do with it.
