Ozzy Osbourne has died

Best front man of all time. One of the progenitors of the genre of music that is far more than just a genre of music to many of us. He was fun personified.

We are lesser now in his absence.

I'm sure Ozzy just took his rightful place as the new dark lord of Hell. :goog_horns::cool: :goog_horns:

I mean, he will never have to tell Sharron to turn up the thermostat, ever again.

When he played live for the final time I posted to neogaf saying:

""Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

There'll never be another Ozzy"

And rage he did! what a legend a one of a kind voice..... Shot in the Dark is my favourite song of his

Oh and as a wrestling nut I of course have to mention when he managed the British Bulldogs at Wrestlemania 2

Fuck, just found out the moment I entered this thread. Been thinking about about my favorite celebrities getting old lately, and literally earlier today i was thinking it would really suck if Ozzy died. It really does suck. RIP.

This sucks. I completely missed that farewell concert due to work and now he's gone.

I don't usually care about celebrities dying but this one hits a bit hard. I started listening to Sabbath while I was living in Germany in 1995 and bought every single album and concert bootleg that I could get my hands on. Including both the original releases as well as the remasters that were coming out at the time. I also loved the Dio era and I don't think I've felt this way since he died back in 2010.

Anyway, Ozzy was clearly the least drug resistant Brummie. Pretty crazy that he lived this long. RIP.

I was never a fan of Ozzy directly, but he was such a huge force in metal with Ozzfest I always appreciated him. A lot of the heavy bands from the late 90's into the early 2000's got a big boost because of Ozzfest.

I never followed his career, but anytime you'd see him on a talk show he'd always put on a good show acting crazy and funny.

But googling him, long time ago he seemed to be pretty clean cut guy. And the rest of the band too. Long hair and all, but not ghoulish like now.

When in his career did he change into the gothy guy dressed in black looking like a cryptkeeper?

Never followed the dude music other than the mtv stuff where he was hilarious but i know it was one of the greats, rip.

Not sure why youtube was showing me video of him in the past week before his death when i never searched for him...

RIP Ozzy such ashame but I'm glad he got to do one last show, He genuinely looked so happy.

I think he knew he was dying but I'm glad he went on his terms, He performed pretty well considering his parkinsons and health in general.

All my favorites Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Sabbath, are all getting older 😔

Had the pleasure of watching him live 3 times, once with Black Sabbath and twice with his solo show, always put 100% into his performance and never skipped a beat whilst onstage

RIP

The word "legend" is sometimes used a little too loosely, in the case of Ozzy it doesn't apply at all, he was one of the *Gods*. Rest in Paradise 🦇✝️

And I had no idea he did a PSVR2 commercial

Some of my fondest memories are going to Ozzfest with my friends back in the day. Had a chance to see him from the front row of the pit back in 2003. He threw a bucket of water on me and my buddy which was amazing because it was hotter than hell that day. I can still hear his voice screaming before he took the stage…."I can't fucking hear youuuuu!!!!" Legend.

I'm a Yam yam so Robert Plant is my personal Rock God but Ozzy is going to be missed. It's going to hit Brum hard, especially after the farewell gig. May have to pay a visit to 'The bench" and pay my respects.

Randy, get that Les Paul Custom out of storage and get jamming up there.

Nah mate. Noddy Holder is the man. Slade were louder than Sabbath and Zep combined.
