Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | April 2013 | Sacrifice your Independent Soul

Biggest megaton is being able to see which cart is in your Vita without opening up the slot.

I wonder if it works just like that old fan mock-up (putting the game cart's icon to the left of the currently active app's icon in the menu bar).

I bought Guacamelee and am now downloading it.

Yeah, that WILL be nice.

Does anyone here use the case from P4G Solid Gold Edition? I got one when I bought another Vita recently and it looks nice enough that I'd like to use it, but I'm worried about picking up any more nicks on it than it already has.

Been playing much of the day on and off (between work bits) and it is simply lovely. Some funny references and just so well made.

Control is sublime and the combat is fantastic, especially as you unlock new moves.

The Metroidvania style exploration is really well done and it is great when you gain access to new areas.

I like MBA, but this is just another level from Drinkbox!

XCOM Enemy Unknown producer would like to hear an anthem of Vita singers in the comments on the blog: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/04/09/xcom-enemy-unknown-invades-psn-today/

They're making a mobile version, so it shouldn't be difficult to port that to Vita.

Since it’s coming to iOS, what are the chances of getting a Vita version?

I wanna join my voice to the chorus above: Please port it to Vita. PLEASE. It will be the perfect platform for it!

I hear you singing, loud and clear. Get me an anthem

from "magic 8-ball says no" to "well ..maybe let me hear you" in less than 10 mins..wha?

Meh getting kinda bored with this whole 'dance if you want it on vita!' stick.
Oh well, if it gets enough attention.

Edit: I know it's usually instigated by Vita owners, just getting rubbed the wrong way that it seems each game needs to be 'begged' to come to the vita

I don't know if I would be willing to buy xcom again after playing it so much on PC. Not that it would not add to the lineup and general interest the console deserves.

Anyway. Am I going to see Guacamelee on the PSN market at midnight or something? When do they update it when they give a release date? 8am? noon?

Man, Sony is really changing the prices on ALL their PSP games on the US store. It started last week, but I didn't think they would continue. Cool. Although I wish it was a bigger change (most of their games now priced at $14.99). Still, about time.

Europe (France). I thought it was the 10th of April, so maybe at midnight... which is in 20 minutes. Should I wait until later tomorrow?

Ah, not exactly sure what time it updates in Europe, but I don't think it's midnight. If it is, though, I'm jealous :p

The EU store usually updates around 4pm UK time, but it's been partially updating earlier recently so you might see it around 12-1pm tomorrow if we're lucky.

Uh -- someone posted the link to it in the web store already, which means it's probably up via search too. Check earlier in the page.

Okay, I'm now on the CMA hatewagon.
I just wanted to move my Wild Arms save from Vita to PS3 for backup/archive purposes.
I can't get CMA to connect... I can connect to PSN just fine, but not whatever the fuck CMA wants to connect to.

Oh, this is brilliant. It couldn't connect cause my TE fight stick was plugged in.
Reminds me of when Inindo: Way of the Ninja wouldn't work on my SNES when my buddy brought it over when I was a kid. What was the problem? Super Scope 6 sensor plugged into controller 2.
Unacceptable. HEY QUALITY ASSURANCE, STOP SLEEPING AND DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!

Just doing my part.

You're all doing it wrong, cry for Civilization 5 ;)
But yes, they are already doing an iOS port, a Vita one shouldn't be that hard.
I would really love to see Xcom on Vita, but before getting your hopes up, it's worth remembering that UE3 support on Vita is iffy at best (from what we know), and 2K support on Vita is non-existent.

I think it's a crime that the original XCOM isn't on the store. I could get it on PC, but the PSX version hooked me way back when. The new XCOM was a shadow of the former glory (and I already played it through to sweet, sweet VICTOLY) but I would play both the new and the old again. Difference is that I bought the physical PC copy for the new release.

PC games are the only games coming with decent contents (I LOVE substantial instruction books). XCOM and Witcher 2 both made me very happy for physical package contents.
