Kobe Bryant likely has a torn achilles tendon

fixed it for ya

wha?!
Well, this really doesn't deserve its own thread. Did we make one when Rose tore his ACL? It's a sports injury, they happen, they suck, yeah it happened to Kobe, but he's just another basketball player.

With that being said---was there really any point of a few specific hockey fans in here to come out and puff their tough guy chest? People being dicks about it makes a lot of hockey fans look like attention craving douches

wha?!

Just going to leave this here.....

So hockey loses to basketball in (almost) all categories which tax the Achilles tendon?

lol. That chart is such horseshit.

I would love to see hockey players try to slow down, say, Lebron or Westbrook at full speed. Or try to outpower someone like Shaq. Or Oakley. Or Ben Wallace.

It's all relative, I suppose. Hockey players seem more tough and strong because they play against inferior athletes.

Zedeno Chara

:lol :lol
Derp. I didn't realize difficulty of sport was solely based on whichever one wears down the Achilles tendon the most.

lol jesus christ, do you even know what thread you're in? or how hockey even got brought up?

just nuke this thread already

Chara could outpower Shaq.

Any fourth line goon could knock LeBron flat.

Just get them some skates and I'm sure we could set something up.

For the people who think the NHL is irrelevant in the US:

Boston Bruins games have averaged a 7.0 rating on NESN so far this season, on pace to shatter last year’s full-season record of 4.7. By comparison, the Celtics averaged a 3.1 on Comcast SportsNet New England during the first half of the NBA season, and the Red Sox averaged a 6.4* on NESN during the 2012 MLB campaign.

Boston is lucky to have four historically great franchises and a knowledgeable fan base. I guess everybody can't be so lucky.

Westbrook isn't big dude :lol

This thread also needs a shop of Wayne Gretsky's tombstone.

Here Lies

The only sport that sucks complete ass to watch is golf. I do prefer Baseball, Basketball, and Football over hockey and soccer. Cricket is too abstract rule wise for me to understand what the fuck is going on.

The average NHLer is 73.33" (6' 1 1/3") tall, weighs 204.42 lbs, and is 27.36 years old.
The average forward is 72.93" (6' 1") tall, weighs 202.4 lbs, and is 27.1 years old.
The average defenseman is 73.87" (6' 1 7/8") tall, weighs 209.66 lbs, and is 27.49 years old.
The average goalie is 73.94" (6' 2") tall, weighs, 198.39 lbs, and is 28.54 years old.

LOL

Yeah, okay.

lol sorry pick a sport and start trolling.

this thread is at pop music stan levels.

I like how you misspell his name. Twice. Fitting :-D

lol. I was only really into hockey for a couple years when I was younger. I actually have nothing against it to be honest, just having fun with this thread.

Edit: Except they made some changes a while ago to make the game more offensive right? I remember not being a fan of that since imo a well-played low-scoring hockey game can be quite exciting.

Lebron is 272 lbs and can move. He would fucking kill an NHL player as long as they aren't trying to kill each other on ice.

Only thing boring about golf for me is the time in between shots. Having to watch someone like up their shot for 5-10 minutes makes me lose interest.

White people can't be athletes? Yeah, white dudes slap fighting on a basketball court is hella athletic in comparison.

I take it back. Remember when that white sprinter won the gold medal in the 100 meters? You're right about the slap fighting also. Two guys in body armor punching each other on skates truly is the pinnacle of sports excitement.

way to cite the most racist fanbase in the world, boston only tolerated the celtics these past few years because they were good

the average bostonian would prefer dragging their dicks through a mile of broken glass than support the celtics in their current state

Bringing racism into this? Really?

Hockey would probably require a lot less endurance if players didn't wear all the padding, but then Hockey players would probably have to retire in their early 30's due to having their bodies being completely fucked.
