Florence doesn't sing in a modern diatonic melody+adlib fashion. She's singing in a traditional celtic style whereby she expresses emotion through variations of timbre, rhythm, and a sense of unpredictability, and of course poetic lyrics. She is an otherworldly siren and we are drawn to her wisdom.

This isn't cutesy songs about going clubbing or daily heartbreak.
