They bombed a bunch of pedestrians. There is no reason to try and give rationale to why they did it. Anyone who would do such a thing is insane.

there's always an underlying motive behind terror and any investigation will try to identify it. Sadly, the types who attacks innocents in the street are not necessarily clinically insane.

You sure seem to have your priorities straight, junior.

I don't think it's unfair to point out that an event like this sets back gun control reform in our country.

And I feel like people are being unfairly chastised for the smallest things in this thread.

Oh damn I haven't been following the manhunt. One guy is already dead? You would have thought they would have fled town or something.

How about those aforementioned hundreds of police officers, SWAT team members, and FBI agents, some of which have been shot at and been attacked with bombs? Are they in danger? Do they qualify for these magical powers?

I'm assuming the hundreds of law enforcement people involved in this either have really bad aim or their main priority is catching the guy alive.

let me clarify this a bit, i meant this can actually be used as a valid point by gun nuts for more open gun laws..at least it has more soundness to it than a lot of arguments they have been using recently..

i am pro gun laws, that why i called him a jack ass because he gave people a possible talking point..can we not derail this thread from here on because of my stupid mistake, i don't wanna get banned bros

Btw guys, what was the initiation of this whole night/man hunt:

Was it the 7-11 robbery, or did they jump that police officer after being checked or something???

I think they had malicious intent at MIT first, jumped the lone MIT officer, bailed, jacked a car and took the driver hostage, then hit up the 7-11 and let the hostage go. Insane.

Ninja Edit: I could have it mixed up though, I missed the very first stuff last night...

Amazing how far behind the national news is compared to the Internet.

They just now are reporting on them being from Checnya...

The entire chase/shootout was also all over the internet well before CNN decided to report on it.

Unlike the internet, actual businesses entities have a little problem called "red tape" lol

I went to bed at 11:30 last night right after the MIT shooting and my wife wakes me up this morning telling me that I need to turn on the news, and I see all hell has broken loose.

Where is the best place to catch up on all of the updates, videos, audio, and just to get up to speed?

Something happened between the 7-11 thing and the MIT thing. I heard about MIT first, but it's possible they hit up the 7-11 before that. But it was really the MIT incident that sparked it all.

Well the nice thing about being 'late' is that they haven't published all the crap we have seen so far on the internet.

Yes. The cops who died have bad aim. Or perhaps they just didn't love their families enough?

They have been behind all night. whole thing was going in nearly 2 hours before the "24 hour" news networks even got involved and by that point we knew it was more then just MIT and news was only talking mit while local news and net were talking bombs going off etc

Brothers came with family to United States.

Brother 26 born in Russia, younger brother born in kirkisomethingstan went too fast.

So they have family in the US. They've been here for some 10 years, not 1 year.

NBC also reported after the older one was shot, the younger one got back in the SUV and ran over his brother's body driving away.
