Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

Says who? What imminent threat and of what magnitude?

Let's see, when there is a terrorist at large who's already killed 4 people and injured nearly 200 more. Is suspected of being armed with bombs and guns. Has already taken one hostage and may take more. Possibly has one or more accomplices who are also armed and dangerous. This ain't your normal rodeo.

Gee thanks, Haaretz:

The whole world is watching the gripping drama of U.S. security forces invading an American metropolis and shutting it down. Terrorists around the world couldn't ask for anything more.

This was terrorism’s great victory, its spectacular triumph, its abhorrently glorious day in the sun. Never, in the history of violence aimed at innocent civilians, have the lives of so many been disrupted so much by the relatively amateurish actions of so few.

Sorry that we're not reacting in the proper Israeli fashion.

If they find anything illegal unrelated to this like drugs, they better not come back to prosecute them after all this.

Sometimes posters on here have the weirdest priorities.

This guy isn't going to get prosecuted. Plenty of people brag about their drug use all the time on TV and jackshit is done about it. I think Boston has more to worry about in the aftermath of this than some doper once smoking a blunt with a terrorist.

Can you describe it? I'm at work...

body has been cleaned up by medical team.
bullet hole in abdomen (entry hole)
semi charred/burned face (apparently from explosive vest burning when he was shot)
large slash across rib cage (potentially made by doctors to massage heart in an attempt to revive him)

Didn't they also take a driver hostage and then let him go? Seems like they have trouble killing someone directly.

No they don't. CNN and MSNBC said they walked up to the MIT officer's crusier and opened up fire, shooting him multiple times.

I don't know if it's the same photo, but I saw one earlier today taken by someone who lived right next to the shoot-out (the guy with the bullet-riddled chair). It showed the suspect lying in the middle of the street, with a huge hole in his stomach area and a big puddle of blood and guts surrounding him. Luckily, the photo was quite unclear... I didn't really want to see it.

Yea, we should rolled in the air strikes on Boston and started blowing up suspected locations. It'd be over in no time!

It's honestly no worse than what I (and my 10yr old daughter) saw at the bodyworlds exhibit. Pretty tame, honestly.
