They've done a pretty quality job with reporting, undoubtedly thanks to local stations (WFXT). The segment with O'Reilly was a bit bleh, however. Over the past few days, Fox News has been way better than CNN (I haven't turned on any other news channels to compare).

I think they were thinking if they got up and left town, leaving school, job, family etc, it would arise suspicion. I think once they saw the FBI has some decent photos of the guys, they realized it was time to leave.

yeah, once it went back to opinion, you needed to turn it off right away. They IMO, have great live news anchors and do a great job getting important people on and don't ask dumb ass questions. That goes away immediately once it goes back to opinions

Having someone I grew up with been arrested and sitting in a cell for armed kidnapping among other things on his rap sheet, its not really all that much.

I just see it as someone made the wrong choice in his path in life and leave it at that. Since truthfully if you never knew, what could you have done anyways right?

I'm really curious about White Hat guy's story. Everything you read about these two brothers indicate they were quite different in their attitudes and demeanour, with the older one being one of concern for the family.

Well yea there's no clear evidence saying this was a religiously motivated attack yet. They were Muslim but so was the sniper guy a few years ago and he didn't have any religious motivation. We could blame gta just as much as jihadi ideology at this point.

The local stations I have relied on have been WCVB ABC CH.5, WFXT FOX CH.25 and WBZ CBS CH.4.

CNN was a joke.

This is going to sound unusual, but they should not do the terrible things some people have mentioned to this kid. They need to actually be quite amicable, and investigate exactly how and why these guys did what they did. The fact that ordinary American residents such as this, who were seemingly well assimilated, were able to carry out such atrocities, is a hugely dangerous and scary thing. Instead of being draconian they need to be diplomatic and intelligent in how they extract information to get the maximum amount of co-operation from him.

Whatever led to this kid being able to be so grossly misdirected, needs to be understood, stamped out and dealt with at the core level.
