Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

I would like to personally thank the law enforcement officials on doing an exemplary job. I saw first hand the devastation from these attacks. I heard explosions from desk in the Prudential Building (on Boylston Street), saw the smoke, heard the terrifying screams, saw the injured, and witnessed the chaos that ensued.
But after, due to the street closing down, Boylston Street became a ghost town. It was eerie to see. Overturned guard rails remained overturned, napkins/utensils remained on outdoor patio tables, signs for loved ones discarded in the streets, and (perhaps the most bizarre of all) an abandoned Dunkin Donuts truck that had been giving out free samples. It was like a time capsule, like time stood still. Lifeless.
Taking the MBTA to work was a stressful situation. Not knowing if the person next/across from me, or someone just getting on the train, was somehow responsible and about to carry out another attack.
But now, for the time being, that is over. Life can return to Boylston Street once again, and I can ride the MBTA in a spirit of camaraderie rather than skepticism. All due to the heroic acts of all those involved with bringing these two people to justice. I will forever be in awe and thankful.

Am I bad in that this makes me want the next GTA game? Sounds so GTA. I mean I know the difference between crazy fantasy & reality. I abhor that in reality. But I want to get back into some crazy car chase scenes . . . the true fundamental core of GTA.

Monday was a 2 part season premiere with the bombs going off then erase Tuesday-Thursday from your memory and the next 2 episodes start Friday at midnight.
These 2 setup a bomb to save their father who was kidnapped by the russian mafia who was being funded by some fortune 500 company owner.

Fox a few nights ago were reporting that the suspects had foreign military training and even invoked Pakistan. They've since stopped referring to it but have continued to focus on the Saudi who was originally deemed a suspect. Last night, Hannity was claiming to have multiple sources in the Federal government that the Saudi national was being deported for unspecified reasons, but suggesting "national security". But I'm curious as to what Beck has. If the suspects were Saudi, then there woud likely have been political ramifications considering 15 of the 19 hijackers were from S. Arabia also.
Hannity added that an interesting report by Reuters surfaced indicating that President Obama met with the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Wednesday, which was not originally on his schedule. This was true.
This stems from a man named Steve Emerson, the self-dubbed "expert" on terrorism who has been accused of anti-Muslim rhetoric.
But Hannity and Beck, who have propagated this story, have it wrong according to others.
The rumor is one hundred percent false," the official said. "One hundred percent false. Just like [the report of] the suspect in custody yesterday." The official said that the confusion stemmed from another, entirely different Saudi man who is actually in Immigrations and Customs Enforcement custody. "We do have a Saudi in ICE custody," the official said. "He is not related in any way to the investigation into the bombing. He's not in any way related to this investigation."
On Tuesday morning, Emerson took to C-SPAN to posit that Abdulrahman Ali Alharbi, the man he would one day later say is getting deported, should be carefully considered as the bomber because "the burns on his skin match the explosive residue of the bomb that exploded." In other words, Alharbi is suspicious because the injuries he sustained in a bombing match up perfectly with the kind of bomb used in the attack. A few hours later, authorities would completely exonerate Alharbi, and a day after that is when Emerson would go public with his next bogus story about the young man being deported, also a lie.
The question is, is Beck aware that there are two different Saudi's here? Is he confusing the two? What evidence could he possibly have that there is a conspiracy that Alharbi is actually involved and being handed back to the Saudis so "not to embarrass them"? Is it all bullshit? We'll know it is if he at all features Emerson on his show this Monday. If it isn't true, then the Right have twice now tried to implicate two foreign states they particularly dislike in the terrorist attack.

I'd imagine someone would have found pictures of the Saudi by now, if he had planted the bomb or was in its vicinity. It's clear he had nothing to do with this and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wouldn't be surprised if this boils down to a "he knows this person, who knows THIS person who is a terrorist!" hit piece.

I could use some help:
I'm downloading the Boston scanner UStream vids for posterity. On the right side there's a scroll box; if you go all the way to the bottom and click "Show more" (or something like that), it'll show all the videos.
Now, every time I download the second scanner video (it's labelled as recorded at 06:43 AM, running time 179:59) I get an error. VLC says that the video format is 'undf' (i.e. unidentified), and the file won't play in anything else. Would someone mind trying to download it and see if it works so I know it's not just something I'm doing wrong? I mean literally download it; not stream it. You'd obviously need something like DownloadHelper on Firefox to get the direct link. I'd really appreciate it.

Glad they caught the piece of shit. I hope he doesn't get the death penalty but instead gets life and is raped on a daily basis. Then, after 10 years of prison rape, I hope he is told he will get parole in a year. But at the end of that year they tell him that his sentence has been upgraded to death but it won't happen for another 15 years. Then I hope he gets 15 more years of prison rape and in the 15th year they tell him that he will no longer get the death penalty but that his sentence has been extended 25 more years and the first 10 years are in solitary confinement. Then, if he's still alive, I hope he's released from prison and deported to an extremist state that hates his kind. There he will live the rest of his days and die, hopefully raped, tortured and killed by the extremist.
Not sure if he is or not, but the $40k was for the replacement truck only. There is ongoing negotiations for additional retribution for pain/suffering.

Don't be so dismissive of what will come out of this just because Beck mentions it. It wouldn't be surprising that this guy was deported for reasons worth looking into. Doesn't matter if it's Beck who keeps bringing this up, what matters is the facts.

It's because most people's perception of cops is that there just someone out to bust you for driving 10 over, or for having weed, and for the most part that's true, but when their put to actual good use and their resources are used efficiently they do incredible things. There's also been a ton of cases of excessive force and police brutality come about and made public with the advent of youtube and smart phones so it's not too hard to see why some would have disdain for cops.

Just saw an interview with a private citizen who witnessed the shootout. Completely confirmed the previous story from Watertown's Police Chief that White Hat Guy ran his brother down and killed him.
Said Black Hat Guy was out of bullets, Police tackled him, and were in the process of handcuffing him, very much alive, when the SUV came "out of nowhere" at high speed, aimed right for the cops. The witness said he alerted the cops to the danger, and they fled, but White Hat Guy continued on at the same speed, and plowed right into his brother, killing him, dragging his body down the road about 30-40 feet.
