Games you remember, names you don't

I haven't read through all of this blog, so forgive me, but I remember a game for the PlayStation where you were this dog police officer in this suit that shot bubbles. You were trying to stop these three female cats who had stolen something or were just evil for whatever reason.

I know this all sounds ridiculous, but hoping I've given enough clues to track it down...

Tail Concerto? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tail_Concerto

I actually found out which game it was. Game was "Expendable/Millenium Soldier"

Now, my latest game conundrum:
It was a PSX game. It was one of the fabled demo discs.

You flew around in a ship in third person on a planet with lots of greens. It had these volcano-like mountain tops which spawned enemies, iirc the enemies were kind of like insects. It's all I can remember but I'd love to figure out what game it was.

Edit: It was on the same demo disc as Ghost in the Shell. These are PAL demo discs, btw.

Edit #2: Nope, that wasn't the right disc :(

V2000 maybe? If I'm thinking of the right demo disc.

Shoot, there was this game for... the PS1 I believe? Might have been PS2...

It was first person I'm pretty sure, and you were either these mechas or people in armored suits or something. I think one was cyan? May have had split screen.

Egh, it's been so long, my memories are such a blur.

No multiplayer and extremely vague description but for PS1 the first game that comes to mind is Disruptor? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disruptor_(video_game)

Not sure, though. Able to think of any other details? Were the mechs human size or building size?

There's some GBA game with a little girl who has a staff... maybe the title has somethng to do with the word Juju? Game was well received. Game out at the tail end of the GBA lifespan. Girl maybe had blue hair?

I remember renting this NES game once. It was a side scrolling plat former that starred a caveman... that's really all I can remember about it.

Thanks for the suggestions but sadly it's none of those.
I have to assume it's a very unknown arena battle type game.
Only way to describe it is as a cartoony arena brawler. Not large monsters, closer to pokemon/digimon.
It was on a ps1 demo disc but I have no idea which one.

Tak and the Power of Juju series, I'd say.

For GBA there were:

Tak and the Power of Juju
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams
Tak: The Great Juju Challenge

So one of those?

No, I did a little searching myself, and Disruptor seemed a little likely, but upon watching the gameplay, that wasn't it.

I wish I could recall more about the game, but It was a long time ago, and I never did get to play it much. I think the graphics were all 3D though, which is why it may have been PS2. Might have been PC too though, I can't be sure.

I believe the mechs/suits were human sized.

No. It's not the Tak series. It's with a little girl, almost Shaman like... pretty sure she had a staff/wand thing.

EDIT: Ahh! Juka and Monophonic Menace! Screwed up Juka with Juju.

Shogo on PC?

Kileak: The Blood or Brahma Force: Assault on Beltlogger 9?

Late 90's or early 00's
PC
Burglar point and click game
Main character is dressed in black(I think)
Puzzle gameplay
You have to plan heists

Never played it, just saw a friend play it.

A GBC game where you were a knight... I think the intro had a skull or sonething like that. It was pretty good. A platformer I think.

When I was a kid, maybe 9 or 10 years old I played on my brothers pc. It must've been around the year 2000. I used to play a lot of AgeOfEmpires1 and 2, also TonyHawksProSkater2 and GTA2 and also a game I absolutely loved, but couldn't make any progress in.
I don't recall the name of it and I don't know too much about anymore, I don't even know if it was a full game or just a demo.

Short description of what I remember:
It was very colorful and in 3D, you played a little guy and you started on top of a mountain and you had to slide down that mountain on something, iirc it was a lid of a pan or something like that.
The montain was coverd with snow and ice and at the end of the track you even slid on gras a bit and then eventually landed in a little lake.
Once you climbed out of that lake there was a phone box somewhere, but I don't remeber what that was for, I guess you were able get up the montain to slide again with the help of that phone box(I'm not sure if it was really a phone box :D).
But somehow you could get away from that area. The other place where you could go was also very colorful, I remember rainbow colored streams. There also was a little well and you were able to go into that well and dive, but unfortunately you needed a diving bell... I never found a diving bell.
And thats all I remember.

Would be pretty sweet if someone knew what game I'm talking about =)

I really have no idea of this PS1 game's name, and I'm dying to look for it and get it again. Anyone knows?

I just spent a few minutes trying to figure this one out with no luck. It sounds interesting though so I hope someone else knows. I would like to try it out, assuming it is anything like I am interpreting what you wrote to be :)

Tonic Trouble?

I am looking for a game myself but sadly I don't remember much so take everything with a pinch of salt.

It was a MS-DOS first-person RPG/dungeon crawler, probably grid-based and maybe turn-based but I'm really not sure about that so it could very well have been real time as well...
The most precise thing I can recall is that the doors made a noticeable squeaking noise.
I think the game had NPCs and was played underground.
That's pretty much all of what I can remember. Please keep in mind that I only played a demo of the game, so the game could have had outdoor areas too for all I know.

The game is not Dungeon Master and was most likely released after it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thats it! Thank you!
You are welcome. :)

Since the last one worked so well, here is another one:
Its a fighting game I played with my brother and his friends when I was like 4 or 5 years old. So I'd say between 1994 and 1998.
I'm pretty sure it was on SNES, but it my have also been PS1.
I remember a red and a blue robot(there where some other fighters I don't remember) and iirc one map was the rooftop of a skyscraper.
I think it was 3D, but I could be wrong about that.

Zero Divide

No. None of them. The red and the blue robots were the only two robots in the rooster i think, the other ones were normal humans. The robots looked like iron man, so no crazy spider robots^^

I'm looking for a game. It's a sort of sports game. It's all futuristic. The game is kind of like Hockey. You play in an arena that's sort of the shape of a football (You're on the inside of it). it's all polygons an' shit. And you have two goals at either end.....

Holy shit! I was just googling better ways to describe it to put in this post and I found it!!
Love this thread!

It's called Hyperblade.

Probably not because it is well known, but could it be Killer Instinct? Some times people ignore the obvious ones. Cinder and Glacius could be mistaken for a red and blue robot. And it had a roof top level.

For that matter, Mortal Kombat 3 also had a red and a blue robot, mostly human characters otherwise, and a skyscraper roof stage.

I 100% expect that no one will know what this game is, but after googling it quite a bit, I've never tracked it down. some vintage gaming sleuths of a high caliber might have a clue..

I am not too sure how one would describe it - this was a standalone game/toy, early 1980s (probably pre-1984), one of those LED screen games. It wasn't exactly a tabletop (like those famous old Coleco "mini-cabs"), it was actually a little seat you could sit on with handlebars. You'd pull the handlebars one way, and then back the other way, and the whole unit would (physically) spin you around a couple of revolutions - very similar to a 'sit n spin." Now on top of the handlebars was the videogame part (LED screen/etc), which I very vaguely recall was called Star Command or Alien Attack or something very generic along those lines. I want to say it was a very simple Space Invaders kind of rip-off at that..

Anyway, the game itself didn't last very long in our household (I'll chalk it up to design error, do the math based on my description!) but we did still have the spinny piece for several years after the LED game was long-gone. I'd love to know what the heck this thing was called and see what the actual game itself looked like.

There was this kind of Idol game on Saturn, where there was this virtual character, you could do music videos with her. Now that I think of it, it was a bit like a retro Hatsune Miku.

Any clue what that game was? I'm pretty sure it was jp only.

Just remembered a PC game from the late 90's early 00's where you played slightly futuristic helicopter from an almost top down perspective. I don't remember if the gameplay was 2D or if you hade some aircontrol. I recall there being lots of pickups you could get from destroying buildings and enemies. I know there was a crazy smartbomb that in my memory had some crazy terraindeforming effect when it exploded but that could just be me remembering it being cooler than it was.

Sounds like pretty much every helicopter game when I read the description but I know the game was very arcadey and not a sim if anybody has any idea i would appreciate it.
