Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | April 2013 | Sacrifice your Independent Soul

So I played some Sound Shapes before going to bed last night, and I gotta say... I might end up playing this more than Dokuro. Felt like such a simple yet elegant side scroller with a zen-like experience. At least for me. Could definitely use some winding down right now and that seems like the perfect fit.

Earning the Platinum in Sound Shapes was my most rewarding gaming experience of 2012. There were times when I almost threw my Vita against the wall while playing through Death Mode.

The game lasts as long as half of Dokuro I believe. (haven't booted up Dokuro yet). We'll see how you feel after you beat the game. Death mode is a dangerous thing to try on the Vita. I'd rather play Demon's Souls from beginning to end than that mode. -__-"

Howdy :)

I'm not sure where I've been. I read this thread daily but i obviously haven't contributed much in a while. Mostly because I haven't heard much of anything exciting since batman. This fall, if you aren't getting a ps4, may be bleak. To be expected though i guess.

I've been good though. Thanks for asking :) How have you been?

Pretty good, finals start today. I'll reward myself with SS on Monday. :P
A lot of people here are considering the PS4 and they actually picked up the Vita in anticipation for it, I hope Sony delivers this E3.

If you were going all physical for Vita games and only need a card for saves / PSN stuff (RCR, Hotline Miami etc...) how big a card should you shoot for?

So, I bought WRC 3 today because I've been interested in it for a while and found it for cheap.

Holy. Shit. It's fucking fantastic. I did not expect it to be this good, seriously.

If you like racing games, it's definitely a must-buy. Also get Moto GP 13 when it comes out, it's by the same dev.

32GB.

If you mean the minimum, 8GB. 4GB is good enough in theory, but PSN exclusives like Totori+ and demos like Soul Sacrifice ruin those plans.

The correct answer is always 32GB. I didn't really plan on buying any digital games when I got my Vita. I just snagged VLR and Soul Sacrifice will be coming with Amazon release shipping. That brings my physical up to 9 cards. Guess how many digital titles I have including PS1 and PSP?

The answer is 46. 46 games. I actually don't like owning games digitally. I love physical media and will always take it over digital, even if there is a significant savings for owning the digital.

I'm still a Plus subscriber and have a good number of digital games though because there is no other way to get them, and also, even though I own some of the games on PS1/PSP (Vice City Stories, Chinatown Wars, Chrono Cross, FFIX etc), they look amazing on the Vita OLED.

I recommend 32GB (or larger, wait for E3) because PSP and PS1 games look great on Vita and also can assign the second analog to camera.

Also liking Thomas was alone here.

The narrator reminds me of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy

A second time HHGTTG was mentioned here. Lol. I need to check this game out.

Cool art style.

Fair enough, will wait for E3 then.

This thread feels much better without him. Though, he is still on the forum, so I'll keep him on my ignore list just to feel safe of his shitty comments.

I haven't read further back, but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess that you two are talking about Toma. What happened to him? Has he been banished from this thread?

I'm a little worried that the 3D sections that look so nice won't be something you control like an adventure but rather cutscenes in between the 2D puzzles. I hope I'm wrong on that, though. I wish it was a 3D platformer because that first shot makes it look like it would be an amazing looking one.

If I got Syphon Filter and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee on my PS3, will I be able to transfer them to Vita? Do they even work on Vita? I'm in Europe.

Yes, they work on Vita. You should be able to looking your PS Store download list, on your Vita, and directly download both titles.

some games you have to transfer from your PS3 Suikoden, and Legend of Dragoon for instance I had to transfer, because they are not on the vitas store.
Actually when I search for it on PSN it lists it with a pricetag. Why is that if I already have it installed? Shouldn't it show a red bag as an icon for already having been bought?

I guess that Jacob Jones games will be coming in May, and, although you can explore the 3D environment, it's control method is touch gestures. :/ I understand using those on iOS, but why not take advantage of a superior method if it's right there on the Vita? Oh well, I'll see how it is.

Nope Totobeni...

Oops, I meant Toto. Jesus Toma is anything but a troll and actually needs to come visit the PSV thread more often. So is Toto just butthurt over negative reactions to his constant trolling/ground texture criticism or has he actually been banished from this thread?

It may just be me late to noticing this but the vita now seems to log you onto PSN immediately upon waking up whereas before it felt like I was logged out until I launch a PSN app or game with online.

he sold his vita, so he just doesn't post anymore.

ok guys, i think we need to stop talking about toto.

he sold his vita, should have sold it a long time ago instead instead of crying over everything!

Toto's one of those posters that, once he has decided he doesn't like something, lets you know he doesn't like it... over... and over... and over.. and over...

I wouldn't have paid much heed to the guy if he hadn't single-handedly shat up every Yakuza thread since 4 came out.

He banished forever. Thank God.

Hmm, yeah it should the red bag if you've purchased the content. Can you re-download the "install bubbles" to your PS3? If so, you should then be able to use the Vita's content manager app and USB cord to move games from the PS3 to your Vita.

Gonna pick up either Resident Evil 2 or 3 to play on my Vita. Really loved RE4, never got into the others. Never played either of them, so there is no nostalgia factor. Which one do I get?
