Game Informer will feature Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on their cover in the next issue, but couldn't wait to share some new artwork and a quicktime 3D screenshot from the game:

Link to the screenshot is in the article - currently can't load it :/

edit - I wonder how many PS3 heroes are going to be called Nathan..up to 2 now!

Sweet.

I hear the next GI is going to have an All Pro Footall 2k8 blowout too.

Glad I have my subscription. Only mag worth paying for with all the exclusives they get.

This screenshot, while still very early in development, will give you an introduction to the main character, Nathan Drake, and show some of the dynamic lighting techniques that will be used in this upcoming PlayStation 3 title. Did we mention the game will have pirates? We know how you love pirates!

Yeah, this could be the game that sells the PS3 to me (unless MGS4 comes first). Looks like Indiana Jones done right.

I wonder how many polys are in the guys hair alone. :lol

<3 self shadowing. every next gen game needs that standard.

Looks like the fur from Viva Pinata. I don't know what to think about these screens, the textures are all very blurry. I'll wait until the official release from ND instead.

No, this will be one of the best if not the best looking PS3 games of 07.

...
If you say so. Maybe it's a bad screen shot but jaggies are in full effect and those textures are Muddy with a capital m. Lighting is nice though.

Still want to see it animate. I wasn't expecting this game to impress in stills anyway, as the trailer very much emphasized movement and animation.

You do realize those are screengrabs out of a quicktime 3d screengrab? There's a ton of artifacts and compression goin on.

it looks as if your character is going to gradually get dirtier as you go a long. probably explains the blurriness. procedural dirt ftw!

Shh, makes too much sense. I mean, it's gotta be a lack of AA and blah blah blah, don't you know? Anyway, if this game animates like it did before (and ND have had the most stunning animations in a game the last couple of gens), then this game is gonna be nothing short of wowsome. I like the changes made to the main character. Though minor, I think he looks like less of a putz, and a bit more like an adventure hero. No offense to Ted Price and Jason Rubin, who don't actually look like putzes. PEACE.

Seems there's a bit of a difference from what they showed previously.

Here come the xbots, hey our AAA game is still Apha but yours looks like shit.

urgh....

If this is alpha what was it they showed in the trailer last year (or was it two years ago?)

so this will be in the April GI issue?

Does this mean:
-Ratchet and Clank PS3 in the April EGM (March)
-Uncharted in the April GI and EDGE? (March)
-GDC in March
-European PS3 Launch in March

maybe this means Sony will start dropping some new Heavenly Sword, LAIR, and Warhawk stuff in March, too? One can hope. :)

No. Game Informer is blocked at work so all I can see is the shot posted in this thread.
