I agree... That setup is nice and clean.
Although this is my favorite thread on all of GAF by far, I haven't contributed to this thread in a few years now.
So I thought it was time to take some pictures and share them. I've taken quite a few shots, so I hope you guys will enjoy them.
Living room
I started out a few years ago with all Ikea furniture, but they were slowly phased out over the years. So now it's kind of a mix and I like it this way.
Most of the console gaming is done from the couch, but I'm more off a handheld gamer so most of my time gaming is spend in the lounge chair.
Another reason for that is the - sometimes - massive glare you see on the tv screen. Fortunately I can only play games in the evening.
Stuff you see is (or hidden in the cabinet)
Sony Bravia 46 inch screen, the foot also functions as a sound bar, which is surprisingly good for its size.
Onkyo 2.1 speakers
PS3 /360
All hooked up to an Onkyo receiver.
View from the other side of the room. The B&W Zeppelin is hooked up to an Airport Express so I can play music from the iPod/iPad/iMac.
It's a great feature that I use a lot in everyday life.

While Im alot like you where i like clean set ups, yours is a little too clean. I like your taste in the furnitures you picked out, but its needs a little more added to the room. So short version. Get more furniture and keep the same style. But that's just for your living room, I think the rest is fine. My motto for what I want for a house is "Simple Elegance"
I too have a Vita and a PSP GO, and almost got a white and a Black PSP GO like yourself, but friend decided not to sell lol.

Quick cellphone pic of our new 75 inch TV, the Samsung 75ES9000 I'm completely in love with it. Blackest blacks I have ever seen and stunning, gorgeous colours. This size works for DOTA2 from the sofa. To my dismay they installed it 5 cm too low so they have to come back again to fix it.

Well, it looks fantastic, even with it not positioned properly. And 75"? Yeah.
That's a good-sized telly. Mind me asking how much you paid? My 50" Pioneer plasma was £4k when I bought it, and I paid £3k for the 42" Panasonic before that one. Can't believe how prices of big-panel displays have tumbled over the past few years.
That's amazing, but the speaker covering just a bit of the bottom of the TV would kill my OCD heh.

Yeah... price is not one of the great things. £5K. And that's after a big markdown as there is a new model coming soon. No big new features though.

Thanks! It took a good two years of saving, but I must say I could not possibly be happier with it. It's like having a screenshot printed on photo paper on your wall.
I was long pondering between waiting for 4K to come down in price or going all in high end 1080P, but seeing the insane performance requirements for 4K gaming I believe this TV should last a good 6 years like the previous one did.
Btw, if anyone wants my 52X2000, it's up for pickup for £300
That's only about £2/day (or even better, £1 a day each for you and the missus) if you keep it for around six years, and that doesn't even allow for selling it on after that and getting a chunk of the cash back.
(I'm an expert at finding ways to justify big expensive toys to myself).

For the folks interested... Sharp 70+ inch TVs can be had for around $2K-3K. Some even cheaper!

The entire wall behind the TV is made for hidden wires. There's two openings, one directly behind the TV and another behind the speaker. Needless to say the guys installing used the lazy bottom one so that needs fixing too to hide the wires once the TV goes higher.

I'm going for a projector next, 55" LG is getting small.
Not with those windows flooding the room with light you won't. Projectors are great if you have a room that can be easily darkened, but for a bright room like Chittagong's, panels are the way to go.

Bang on. It was either drapes or panel. Since I really don't like drapes very much, had to go with the panel that has the best contrats and performance in direct sunlight. This one has microdimming unlike almost every other 70 inch TV, giving it extraordinary contrast.
In case I had a flat big enough to build a separate home theatre room I would have no objection whatsoever to getting a projector. In fact I would love the big screen.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about anyways, I have a pretty high end projector and screen in my theater room right now and I'm constantly envious of the image quality of the new led screens that are coming out, you can't compare really.
I'm sad cause we are building a new home and I will be leaving my custom theater room behind, I will be including all my equipment in the sale of the home.
The exciting part is that the new home we are building is twice the size and I will have a brand new unfinished basement to build a new theater in!

Yeah i was looking at the zt but its £3800 over here thats a bit much for a tv.

Yes that is diy.
What you see there is basically a simple shelf (top), a custom satinized acrylic panel with rgb backlight (middle) and a modified lowboard (bottom). The lowboard is covered with fabric to minimize reflections, have to do that with the shelf as well.
The backlight is a lot smoother in reality.
It's missing some life though, i'm on the hunt for a fancy silver sculpture or something along the line.

Very nice! What color did you paint the walls? I'm about to redo my living room and was looking at a similar color but would love to see the exact one in person as a possible option.

I cut them out of this book, I got a 5x7 (I think) ribba frame from ikea and took the glass out and put it centered over the picture on a cutting board pushed against the wall to level it and used an exacto knife.
Zero is pretty generous--it looks about the same as other recent year Panasonic plasmas from what I can find. Congrats on the amazing TV.
