Oh yeah, I forgot about the hit rate. Yeah might want to hold back on that purchase. Although it is a cross buy title and the patch is already on the ps3.

The most recent update messed up my downloads. I can no longer download while in Standby. If I leave the Vita idle, the download pauses after a while, the same things happens if I manually put it in standby. Does anybody know what I can do about this?

My downloads are messed up too. For me, I can't direct download anything straight form the Vita store listing. I have to access my download list to get the download going. Accessing from the Vita store lists causes the download to stall out and lock my Vita. Only a power cycle will let me quit out of the store.

I haven't encountered that problem. Are you able to download while in Standby?

I've been having both of these problems since the last update. >.>
 
Not being able to have my item download in the background when I manually enter standby, has been happening to me pre 2.10. Welcome to my world.

The store being crazy, and having to try to download multiple times, until it works or only from the download list, since 2.10 for sure.
 
My Vita never auto-downloaded stuff when I manually hit the power button and put it in sleep mode. I just have it go on auto-standby after a minute and that does the trick just fine. Pre and post FW update!

I don't really post in this thread anymore but have been complaining on the blog comments alot recently.


Can anyone here confirm if Soul Sacrifice is getting preorder dlc with the digital version in time for tomorrows release?

The last thing I want them to do is handle it like they handled the PSASBR preorder codes for the Vita version, where the codes only worked for PS3 and they sent a code a month later a for the Vita version codes, though I doubt that will be the case.

They will either outright give it, or just pretend it never happened.


Regardless, theres been alot of uproar on the blog. I'm not sure if they could get away with doing that considering they should be pushing digital purchases for the Vita.

There's no PS3 version to speak of, and the last few "buy on week 1 to get extra goodies" digital games haven't really had an issue. They DLC is added to your downlist list when you buy the game.

A few firmware updates ago they made it so that you could manually go into standby and it would still download. But now, for me, it pauses my download even when I let it go into standby on its own. I don't know what's up with it.

Does anyone know how many GBs Soul Sacrifice is even going to be? It does seem like they type of game you'd want digitally but I hate swapping out titles on my memory card.
 
Thanks for the replies guys and gals. This would have been alot simpler if they had just replied to one of the comments on the PS blog rather than leaving most of us with a blank there. I don't check their twitter.
 
Lame, my vita touchscreen is suddenly acting up, really erratic recognition (trying it out in paint park). Definitely something wrong, activating by itself etc. Didn't do anything different...tried restarting it a few times too :S Might have to call Sony.

I intend to use that list to counter 3DS-GAF and their crusade to make Atlus a Nintendo second party. They keep on referring to a similar list for 3DS as a confirmation that Persona is coming to the platform. It very well could, but those lists are usually nonsense that have no bearing on actual support.

And 3DSGaf will call in the sales age, all counters are moot and actually counter-counters against you until the Vita is selling one million units a week in all regions and 3DS returns cause consistant negative sales.

Glad the SS pre-order stuff is for PSN too! But will they be available after the one-week launch period? I mostly just want the JP Voice-over and am worried it'll be lost forever if I can't get the scratch for that first week.

And Leona I thought you didn't like SS, change of heart I missed?

^I REALLY hate the "leaving money on the table" argument, but in this instance if the Vita as a platform is just skipped period for the next Persona then that IS leaving money on the table because they've already proven there is a viable user base for their products on the Vita, so even with a multi-plat release the Vita should be one of the platforms.

I'm glad SCEA finally delivers on SS bonus DLC

(bleh.. the game is coming out 5pm in my home country.. lol. but it's R3 region rather than R1)

Its been pretty clear hes been killing it with Indies at this point, but its interesting to see hes going after some larger fish, I wonder who hes talking too.

Well hes part of Sonys third party relations team, so realistically it could be anyone. Though I think Shahid, Adam, and Nick deal with the US, where EU, and JP have their own teams.

If I want to upgrade my MC from 8 GB to 32 GB, then how can I transfer contents already downloaded on the 1st MC to the 2nd one? Can they be copy-pasted or do I need to re-download them again from the PSN?

You can make a PC "backup" of the old memory card via the content manager and then unload the backup to the new card.

You can back up the whole card to a PC or PS3 using CMA and then once the new card is in use the CMA to take your back up and put it back in.

You can transfer them from Vita -> PC -> Vita or Vita -> PS3 -> Vita. It creates a backup file and will be held by the PS3 or PC.

Actually you might be right, it would explain why he was talking about going to the Eurogamer Expo. My mistake, so that would mean it would have to be Euro Devs, and or Publishers. Only major EU pub I can think of off the top of my head is Ubisoft, and Deep Silver.
