"Omg it's a sopranos rip-off, ewww Heat scene, omfg this from that awesome movie and that from this awesome show - They suck!!"

I notice you didn't say awesome game.

Cutscene cutscene cutscene cutscene cutscene brief flash of driving near an explosion cutscene cutscene cutscene just make a fucking movie already cutscene.

So which one dies during the story?

Indeed. Since three are playable I don't think all are set to make it to the end. They also have the opportunity to play with some interesting stories, having one character flip for example, without the others knowledge. So you could go on a mission and try to minimise destruction, or deaths, or take footage of what was going on or something. I dunno.

People really thought these trailers were great? @_@

I mean the game looks awesome and everything, but the music, the dialogues, the characters are just

The Trevor trailer was the only decent one imo, at least it was somewhat original.

What have you got against Radio GaGa?

Trevor reminds me of that other wacko from Kane & Lynch. I forget who is who.

I thought they really portrayed the variety, fun, random aspects quite well, makes me excited to get in and have fun ASAP.

Loved the trailers, the animations/action look so sweet, hyped!! Sucks having to play them at (under of?) 30fps though but no way I'm waiting who knows how long for a pc version.

For a video game, ostensibly.

One that is apparently brand new and not an old one repackaged.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. So because they actually make a great trailer, now that's a bad thing? But when some medicore rehash games makes a trailer that's also cutscenes and explosions, it's okay.

NeoGAF sometimes ... Jesus.

Really liked the trailers.. anyone else notice the lack of platforms displayed at the end? Surely they would be foolish not to make this a cross gen, next gen launch title.. Everyone and everyone would buy it.. TWICE!

And what is a good trailer to you?

Thought all those things you mentioned were done very very well and left a very good impression of the game, to me anyway.

I'm glad the gangbanging is being featured prominently again. It doesn't matter if San Andreas already covered it, the culture is a big part of urban life and ignoring it just because there was a previous game dedicated to it is ridiculous.

It's just a bullshit excuse. It's not like the Italian mafia hasn't been used extensively within the franchise, and within video games and movies in general.

No, they're no good murderous scum just like the gangbangers.

Mafia makes for much better storytelling than gangbanging. Take The Godfather vs Boyz in the Hood. Not exactly in the same league. Or Goodfellas vs Menace 2 Society. Or the Sopranos. Or Boardwalk Empire. There's just more depth to explore in organized crime. Note "gangbanging" does not mean "black". You could make an excellent story about black organized crime as well. Maybe American Gangster (haven't seen that yet)?

That said, gangbanging seems to lend itself better to videogames. San Andreas is the best GTA as far as I'm concerned. So although Franklin himself might not be an interesting character, his story might be extremely fun to play.

An interesting thing to remember with Franklin is that he's already rising above typical gang activity. At the start of GTA V he's working for Armenian gangsters jacking expensive cars. Not really the same as someone like CJ. It's more his friends that are still entrenched in that.

Really?

With every major Rockstar release of the past couple years, they seem to put out a "Gameplay series" set of videos showcasing more gameplay footage. Maybe wait for those?

Draw distances, lighting, the immense amount of detail and content. I just have a hard time believing current gen could run that as smoothly as it looks in the trailers. Kudos to R* if they managed to pull it off.

Eh. I didn't see any huge draw distances... at least nothing that seemed like it was rendering a complicated, detailed scene far away. It's hard to tell in a trailer.

And the geometry looked pretty flat and low detail most places and texture quality, of course, looked pretty par for the couse for current gen consoles. Again, hard to tell from trailers.

Not saying it looks bad. I like the style. I'll be waiting for a PC version but I won't get my hopes up (but really... Rockstar... PLEEEEEASE)

I don't want to play this shit on PS3 or 360. I'd rather wait a week or so for a PC or PS4 version at last. I just can't stand playing these new cutting edge games on dying consoles man. I can already see the framerate chugging along with horrible resolutions.

...and pop ups and lod problems on mass and all presented with glory FXAA blurriness.

Blond hair is recessive. It's not that uncommon for brown haired parents to have a fair haired child. Alternatively, she or could just be dying her hair.

He was saying it was Micheal's wife that was cheating on him, not the daughter fooling around.

No mention of The Wire? One of the best TV shows made and with a large focus on gangbanging?

Yeah i posted it because people were wondering if the brown haired woman was the wife or the daughter.

There seems to be more of an emphasis on gang stuff then I though there would be. I hope there is some form of gang war side mission.

Michael = Michael Madsen.

Loved them. I thought Michael's was great but the other two were about equal too. Can't wait.

And if it's cross-gen I'll wet myself.

Well, now i have to find the perfect time to replay all of GTA IV Complete.

God damn, I also can't wait for the multiplayer reveal, the different game modes and what they are doing with crews.
