Essien’s birthday snub was not the incident that convinced Mourinho he had to leave Los Blancos.

He had already made his mind up by then.

It was just the perfect example of the flawed philosophy that festered within the dressing room.

It's the sun so it's probably not true, it also doesn't even say anywhere about Essien being upset. Also how much you earn or how you make it doesn't really make you immune to feels, we should know this by now.

Uh, he knew them for how long? Less than 6 months at this point? And per definition they're colleagues rather than friends. Even at super tightly knit teams like Dortmund we've got different cliques.

I haven't celebrated a birthday in more than 5 years, all my friends got used to it by now. I even removed the exact date from fb to not get stupid congratulatory crap from fb firends and I don't fb-congratulate them either.
Although last time my current gf tried to pull some crap.

Sure, but I commented on ppl. feeling sorry rather than Essien and I never said millionaires didn't have feels - it's just that I give much less of a shit about them.

Looks like Chelsea will most likely win the whole thing. They have a good track record against Benfica and have been on good form in general recently. I rarely put on bets, but I'm glad I did tonight. £34 up.
