Di Maria is better than Gervinho, so that's good enough for me.

I really like Modric. Think he's an upgrade over both Cazorla and/or Arteta (depending on where he'd be played). Very good passer.

physical holding/box-to-box type player is a must though.

Who has been Wenger's most high profile signing? Arshavin? Then again he was always known to be very inconsistent. We aren't the type of club to make blockbuster signings like Modric, even if you ignore his Spurs connection.

Does anyone really believe there's a future for Khedira at Real without Mourinho? I don't. If he stays, he'll be on the bench in no time.

Wouldn't be surprised if Khedira went with Mou to Chelsea.

Very, very talented player, second striker. Injury ridden and kind of inconsistent though. I can't figure if the latter is a consequence of the injuries or if he's a bit like Vucinic in that regard. You know, lazy. Next season will be the deciding one, if he leaves Fiorentina. Could either turn into one of the best players out there, or remain incomplete.

It's insane that they can charge so much for tickets with such a huge stadium and not be profitable. Every major club should be following Man U's lead. Every sponsor dollar you can get is a good one. Commercial revenue should be chased HARD -- every million or two means you can re-sign that guy who you'll lose in another year if you don't.

The days of Wenger scouring Europe for bargains is over, and it's been over for a while. So has his tendency to buy young players. Players like Gervinho, Giroud, Podolski... these are internationals that were known quantities in their various leagues.

This is rich coming from a Liverpool fan. How much have you spent in the last 2 years alone? What are you competing for exactly? Don't throw stones when you live in a greenhouse.

khedira is like a headless chicken. runs a lot without doing anything useful. there was a reason why germany conceaded at least one goal in nearly every game in the Euros even with a schmelzer, badstuber, hummels and lahm defense

We won a trophy.

We also keep our best players contracted to the club, so they can't force their way out for less than they're worth.

This also stops them from winning trophies with rival clubs.

Don't think Real really wanted to sell Carvajal, that was more of a loan than a buy.

The second part is, well, interesting. Have we already forgotten that Khedira had to play beside an injured and thus rather shit Schweinsteiger? Khedira was one of the best German players at the Euro. Also your defense... Schmelzer didn't play a singe match lol

boateng or schmelzer, who cares? that defense shouldn't concead 2 goals from greece. sure schweinsteiger wasn't fit but shouldn't khedira be responsible for the defense as well? he has always been the ball winning defensive midfielder. a role that made him world famous but he forgot in recent years.

I'm not jinxing it, it's real talk. :/ He's one of the best strikers out there, imo, and he's, what, 28? Win the EL, join a top top club. That's how it usually goes. How much does he make at Benfica, btw?
