Cech out talking about Mou again

"I think not a lot of players have worked with Jose here but I can say that he is one of the best coaches in the world.

"He is a great coach and, if he comes back, I think [Chelsea] fans will be very happy.

"It would be a pleasure to work with him for players who already know him and for those who do not yet know him well."
Roman pls

also lol turok_itk

Messi's goals are mostly tap-ins or from short distance after passing lanes are created. He scores in part frequently because everyone else on his team is world class. Bale literally makes goals out of NOTHING. That pace... it's just unfair. There was no space but he created it and shot at a ridiculous angle within seconds. It takes my breath away.

wtf am I reading?
ronaldo not influential, Messi only scoring tap-ins, Bale to United?

what the hell footy gaf? what the hell?

wtf...

Have you seen Messi's 2nd goal against Milan this year?

That was an incredible goal. But it was just as much on his team's passing as it was on him. I didn't say Messi doesn't do amazing things.. he does. But so many of his goals are down to shit competition and having world class teammates. I'd love to see a heat map of his goals -- I'm confident most of them are from within the box.

Spurs are 1 point ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea are 4 points ahead of Arsenal. If Spurs win at SB, they will both be 1 point ahead of Arsenal. Nothing Arsenal can do to stop them both qualifying if things don't go their way.

They should be good though, Chelsea are a bunch of shitty chokers.
How pessimistic are you?

Spurs are 3rd likeliest and by a bit.

Arsenal's fixtures are easy, they should be there.

Chelsea have tough games but they still have the advantage. They have tmrws game in hand, albeit a tough one but a game in hand nonetheless and against a United team which on the evidence of last week is on the beach. They also have a much better GD than Spurs meaning that although they are level on points, effectively they are 1 ahead. Then there is fact they play Spurs at home which is another advantage.

And you're saying Chelsea are chokers. For one, no, they are not, they are a team and squad who have a proven track record to win the biggest prizes. And if you think Chelsea are chokers, have a look at Spurs.

Tody was the first time all season that we got something out of nothing. Usually the reverse happens to us. The cards have fallen our way for the first time all season

True, I was bricking it.

Still if Wigan had lost today we would have been pretty much safe. Assuming nothing from Chelsea (and lets face it, we are getting nothing) then we are loooking at final day drama. Eeek.

What are we defining as most? If he scores 60 goals a season, and 40 of them are inside the box, he's still scored 20 from outside the box.

I can't even believe we're comparing Bale to Messi looooool. Jesus.

Fantastic goal. He's an incredible player but I have far more respect for Bale who does it with no help from his teammates more often than not.

I didn't say he scores mostly tap-ins. I said most of his goals are either tap-ins OR from chances created by others.

Messi creates a stupid amount of goals from nothing. Watch barca be aimless without him.

Spurs have shown immense mental fortitude, rallying from 1-0 down to beat City just a few weeks ago. They constantly get late winners, such as against West Ham, Lyon and Soton today. Same goes for Arsenal, they have become really great at grinding out victories in search for CL football this season and last season. Their comeback against Norwich was a testament to this.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have blown 2 goal leads twice this season, against Soton and Reading, when they conceded 2 in the dying minutes. Also conceded late against Liverpool.

It really can only go one way now, Spurs and Arsenal are constantly demonstrating the hallmark of CL contenders, the ability to get wins when playing shitty while Chelsea always drop stupid points in those circumstances.

i still think spurs are going to just miss out.

they remind me a lot of united last season in the title race. they've had lots of injuries and their performances have been rubbish for ages, outside of a few patches, so they're being dragged through to the end by good fortune, loads of late goals and great individual performances. i just don't think it's going to hold out long enough.

We're defining most as most is defined. The majority. 40 out of 60 would definitely be considered most. Bale on Barcelona or Madrid would get 50 goals too.

My only hope is that our recent form combined with them MAYBE resting some starters in prep for the Europa final the midweek after gets us at least a point

Would laugh at QPR like usual, but as a Newcastle fan I should have learned by now never to laugh at any other clubs... ah fuck it, hahaha.

I hope nobody actually trusted QPR to upset anything here. I'm just going to enjoy the thrashing and the resulting twitching chops on the bench.

Yeah of course it would, but then there would still be 20 goals the equivalent of Bale's that we'd be ignoring for the sake of an argument. Bale at Barcelona wouldn't get a look in because Messi is there. He'd be on 15 goals a year if he's lucky. Look at Barca without Messi. Hopeless team, because they rely too much on him and funnel all their play through him. Same with Spurs and Bale, that's why he stands out because they play as to utilise him.

Messi is probably going to go down as one of the three best players of all time. Bale is a fantastic player, but by this age Messi was already being talked about like that. He just isn't anywhere near his level, as good as he is.

I had just a little bit of hope, given that it was an away game for Arsenal.

I still have a little bit of hope
