I think Suarez has had a better season in an inferior team.
RVP has been excellent this season but he has good players around him already.
That's a bottle job if ever I've seen one.

If your production is equal at absolute worst with others and are 3-5 years younger and will improve, you're a better player than them. But he isn't even anywhere near equal to them -- head and shoulders better.
Sahin is having one to forget from what I've seen.
Edit: I see Mata is only 25, I figured he was 26-27 since he looks a bit older. He's a great, great player.
I would switch 1 and 2 and 5th maybe De Gea

suarez while obviously terrific is a bit of a flatrack bully. runs up loads of goals when liverpool are in the mood against the likes or norwich, but also underperforms often when he's needed to nab some points against the run of play, whereas bale is more of constant matchwinner.

Suarez is an idiot. he could have been the best if there wasn't the chelsea incident. Van Persie was again very good this year but as you said he had many great players around him. It's a tie between RVP and Bale for me but Bale "deserves" it more because he plays in an inferior team.
I'm going to get a lot of shit for this, but player for player, I don't think there is such a huge gap in quality between your squad and ours.
The big factors you have in your favour are mentality, consistency and stability, and these are all vital to competing at the top.

I think their title defense has had a worse-than-expected effect on their mental health. dc has gone from 'delayed' to 'Paul Scholes tackle' late, Manager is rocking in the corner of a shower mumbling something about ninjas and hitmen, and Meier is chatting more shite than usual.
You guys overestimate Bale being "poor" at the beginning of the season. He raised his game to another level after the first few months, but he absolutely dominated United and that was only in the 6th week.
Not surprising when there is so little riding on the game and also what is looming for both Bayern and Dortmund players.

We seem to struggle to have any sort of positive momentum unless we are behind in a game. It is infuriating to watch us plod about like our season is over, knowing that were we to give away an equaliser, we would suddenly jump into gear and start making forward runs.
I have seen this game from Arsenal far too many times in recent seasons. And sadly, it often leads to dropped points. At least those points are generally dropped in hilarious circumstances involving bizarre individual error. That is good for the neutral I suppose...
Explain? In what world is age not included when comparing athletes' quality? Di Natale scores a million goals every year but is never placed on equal footing with other, younger strikers.
I would've it if they bought him. Overrated totally, makes TV saves but also basic handling errors and flaps constantly. No better than Chesney.

Yeah Bale was great against United away.
The trouble at the start of the season was the squad were still geling together. Also Defoe was scoring more so there was less pressure on Bale to get goals.
Dont forget our midfield struggled to score, all of them. He was still playing well just not grabbing the headlines. I said on here the day of the Norwich away game, Bale needs a goal to start scoring more for us.....and he went on that amazing run of goals!

Age is included when you'd say 'wow and he can only get better', but you can't factor it in and say they are better because they're younger, that's just ludicrous. The reason Di Natale is never placed on equal footing is because he doesn't play in England or Spain or whatever, and he plays for Udinese. It's really got nothing to do with his age how good he is, because in a conversation about top level strikers will always have him on the peripheral because he isn't a transfer target. No one will buy him because of his age. That doesn't mean he's any worse a player because of his age.
We'll send Carra round as a retirement present. The fucker will leave soon enough.

Mata is wonderful but he doesn't have the same match winning ability as RVP, Bale or Suarez IMO.
I think RVP and Bale are a little bit ahead of Suarez in this respect too - seem to have a knack for scoring really crucial goals at important times.
My opinion might be skewed here though by the fact Liverpool haven't really been in contention for much so Suarez hasn't really had the chance to score defining goals.
